Extra Ship Components NEXT
Overwrites: Special Weapons Types Patch

This is addon for Extra Ship Components NEXT that assigns proper turret entities for biological, nanite and psionic weapons added by ESC. It also removes secondary weapon types from those weapons, which were used to patch turret entity issues in ESC-proper.

WARNING: This mod overwrites the following vanilla turret definitions in order to properly assign turret entities to custom weapon types added by Extra Ship Components NEXT:
- small_turret
- medium_turret
- large_turret
- extra_large_turret
- medium_missile_turret

This mod also overwrites the following New Ship Classes turret definitions:
- titanic_turret

Using this addon when you have mods other than ESC NEXT that add custom weapon types might cause issues such as "no-model-cubes" in place of turrets and/or weapons shooting from the star.

I'm reusing vanilla turret types for my own weapon types (e.g. psionics use energy and missile turrets), just under their own names. if a mod that adds weapon types, then unless names intersect, there should be no issue (neither mod affects the other), and for the mods that adds a shipset, then they should have (possibly null) models for vanilla weapon types' turrets anyway

Just so I'm understanding this properly; custom shipsets aren't effected? Just mods that add custom weapons?
