Description
This time something for base builders out there! ISO Containers!

Containers are perfect for storing heavy things, vehicles parts, unused furniture etc... Gas tanks have all the functions of a gas tanker trailer. Perfect for large backups of gas in your base. They will spawn all around the world, containers mostly in McCoy spawns and tanks in fossoil spawns.

They can be towed with vehicles but are slow. They are not meant to be used as trailers so don't load them up and try to drive, it will not go well. Also use something else than a Dart to tow it please.

  • B41 / B42 Compatible
  • Animated doors / removable objects
  • You can use it in your current save game, just enable the mod in the load menu
  • It can be towed
  • Not recolorable
  • You will need the Tsar's Common Library for fuel storage in B41 to work

@JaCrispy - that's RNG for ya! I tend to find 3-4 normal containers before finding 1 fuel tank. I believe there is a slight bias for fuel tanks near Fossoil stations, and normal containers in industrial zone such as McCoy logging site near Muldragh

@DFritz06 - they are hard to move, any vehicle should be able to tow them but the bigger the better.

What works best to tow these with btw? would I need to find a flatbed trailer or something

@Plazma 400 - these items weight 2-3 tons in real life (empty) and don't have any wheels. They are not easy to move so 1-5kph is the best you'll get in game.

From experience I've found moving them in 1st gear is easier. If you car shifts up then stop, get some slack in the tow rope, then accelerate again for a 'tug' and a few seconds of driving.
Driving in reverse may also be easier and you can push up against the container. You lose more steering control but it might be quicker in a straight line. Be careful not to damage the container or your car though!

@sulo what did you change? id like to refuel the cars directly from the fuel container as well

nevermind, I changed a line inside template_container_gastank.txt and now it works, I can refuel cars from the fuel container directly without a gas can

So I did fill the container with fuel directly at the gas station but it seems like you cannot refuel cars directly from the container ? you must use gas can ?
