It is an historical uniform - It was mainly used by NCOs, but this doesnt make it not historical.
As i said, we decided to play with this uniform, which was also used by the normal line-infantry, but with the hat from an NCO.

The hat and coat from an officer is a lot more different, the Musketeers/Grenadiers coat and NCOs coat is the same, except for the hat.

If You do things in an other way on purpose, You can't claim historical accuracy.

Yes, the hat is from an NCO. The hat used by the Musketeers and Grenadiers just dont look good I believe - It is similiar to the russian Grenadier hat in Holdfast.
Also those small things like the white stripe on the hat being a bit too big is no big deal in my opinion.

I am sorry about the nasty commentary. I was in a very bad mood yesterday and as I saw the uniform I couldn't hold back...
Now a better formulated version of my critique on the uniform, which is all in all not bad:
As far as I know is the white edging on the hat too broad, this one would have been from a NCO or Officer; the two pairs of ribbons on the Uniform need to be three and above the collar of the coat needs to be a black kerchief.

It is historical, even tho the 12. Infantry was disbanded before the Napoleonic Wars, it was still used by the Leibgrenadier-Garde Regiment Pirmasens till 1807~.
