Talking of strange things, the workshop tells me that one needs the flying scotsman DLC for it, which I have, but the workshop says that the DLC has been retired????

Hi,

Bedankt voor de tips. Thanks for the hints!

There are hardly any station departure times in this scenario, so it was hard for me to decide departure times.

I think I was running early most of the scenario, the A3 steaming really well...

Anyway I'll wait at that junction until my time! :-)

PS: I'm glad you took out the overspeed penalty system :) I hate it! Thanks for doing so!

Wait your times at the stations where you have to call on. Do not depart too early even if you have the road and the doors are closed. When arriving at Challoch Jcn. an inbound for Stranrear from Ayr goes first because that train was running "late" if you arrive much earlier than 3.20 at the Jcn you have to wait because the road is given to the Ayr line for the "late running" express train from Ayr (Glasgow and Edinburgh)

The reason I took out the penalty system is jst because it is more differcult to maintain the speed restrictions at a steam train.
Do do depart too early and wait at the station as planned booked times.

An example: If you arrive at 12.00pm at Station X and the booked departure is12.15 pm. Wait for the departure time and do not depart after the doors are closed and the road is given. Even if you should have to wait for 10 or more minutes.

Great scenario, although currently still held up at Challoch junction, which is annoying!
At least I can read from the comments that I'm not the only one so if I'm just patient... I will complete it eventually ;-)

I have to agree wholeheartedly with Pparnis, the B5 scenario is very good, with the Scotsman its just so much more fun, was again worried about getting to Dumfries in time and was 7 minutes too soon and that was keeping to the speed limits.

Is there speed limits in this scenario? As I pipped over 40 in a 40 limit and it didn't punish me.

Have you done this with other engines I wonder? A4 Pacific sounds like a sweet run, early class 37/40, even the Deltic, its strange as I never thought I would enjoy this DLC so much as I do like the blue BR era but your scenarios really make the difference :)

This scenario (just like your last using the B5) is also one of the best on TS2014.
This is also one of the longest scenarios available which adds to the enjoyment. Was held up at Challoch Jct. at 03:09 hours until 03:30 due to "Service 21" not leaving Castle Kennedy until 03:22 for the AYR line, but I arrived at Stranraer at 03:42 hours thanks to the superb steaming ability of the "Flying Scotsman".
Well done for your time spent on yet another great scenario and look forward to others. Cheers, Paul.

Long scenario, but well enjoyed the run. Well done. Got to be bang on speed going through Bullocks Bridge Dwn Main, 1st time I got a X and -500 points. Didn't lose points for speeding. Gonna do the run with the B5 when I've 3 hrs to spare. Keep em coming, your scenarios are excellent. Cheers.
