Mind Reaper

Description
There are darker secrets in the bowels of Rook City than it would seem. An urban legend speaks of a horror that steals your very self. A glowing green mist, with strange shapes that spark familiarity in idle passers-by and lure them to investigate closer. Then, in a flash of green, they are trapped inside their own body. They have become a victim of the Mind Reaper. For ages, the Mind Reaper has simply maintained, discarding one host and taking another in an endless stagnation, never growing in power. But now, for the first time, a hero has stumbled into its path. Now it can feed, and grow, and eventually...manifest. Can the heroes save their friend in time, or will their hesitation allow Mind Reaper to become unstoppable?

No, I don't have any plans to add card art for this one.

Is the card art a work in progress?

I really love this villain. He wasn't particularly difficult but he had a cool gimmick. I appreciate people making things that are fun, but not necessarily super hard.

I tried this out tonight with PW Haka, Legacy, Rook City Wraith and Redeemer Fanatic in St Simeon's Catacombs and had a great time one I had worked out that the possessed hero could still damage the environment.

The battle lasted a long time and, despite being swamped with ongoing cards, I always had the feeling that I was going to just make it.

Two small criticisms are firstly, I think that it would be better if a random hero was possessed, instead of the one with the highest HP, but there is possibly a reason for this that I am not seeing. Secondly the 'Psychic Shield' (or whatever the correct name is) being indestructible seems to make it one step too far in that you almost feel like giving up. I managed to get the Reaper down to 4 HP and spent the last 2 rounds suffering heaps of damage waiting for a 'Haka of Battle' that never came. Perhaps if there were a way of getting this card destroyed (perhaps there is, and I missed it) it would be even better.
