Description

Removed skill requirements for setting fleet formations.

Continuing my quest to rid X4 of poorly implemented aspects of the skill system. This time featuring, formations! Ever thought it weird that a pilot apparently was skilled enough to fly in a Line Abreast formation, but not to fly in an Echelon formation? You are not alone!

This mod is very simple. All formations are available from 0 stars.

Other aspects of pilot skill, such as reaction time and flying ability are untouched.

Need a mod that adds formations from homeworld... like wall...

This mod is not for skills. In the original, for each formation, the captain must have a certain number of stars. To use all fleet formations, these requirements have been reset and any captain can now use any formation.

Is there no skill learning? f.e. more stars = more stable formations hold..

I believe this is a problem with X4 itself. Formations are finicky and don't always work correctly or well, and sometimes won't even apply. The fact that it is happening with vanilla 0-star formations for you only reinforces that, as those formations are essentially untouched by the mod. Are the unassigning themselves immediately, or after a period of time passes? The former I experienced in vanilla before I made this.
