== PROJECT OVERVIEW:
After the successful creation of the Skipjack and Valencia classes, the MOS Fleetyards requested new designed subs to be more compact, smaller, but still as deadly as ever. The Thresher was born from this.

The Thresher is, on paper, a small "scout" sub that is aimed to have a crew of 2-3. Armed with 3 coilguns, a frontal mounted railgun, and an electric discharge coil, this scout submarine is designed to be used as close-range search and rescue, patrol, and security submarine.

The railgun trigger is attached to the navigational array, requiring the Captain and the Gunner to communicate to launch successful shots.

Like most Nighthawk Foundry ships, the Thresher can enter "stealth mode", where exterior lights are dimmed, the reactor is shut off, and the engine power is decreased, making the submarine a perfect stealth predator.

Standard layout of the Thresher comes equipped to the teeth with arms and ammunition, able to fight back any intruder; deep sea or human.

== FILE NOTES:
  • Like it's sister ships, the Thresher has a double layered hull for increased integrity.
  • The Thresher utilizes an electrical discharge coil that can reach every inch of the hull, and is activated from the navigational terminal.
  • The stealth system is activated from the navigational terminal. It disables all exterior lighting and changes interior lighting to blue. Engine force is reduced to reduce noise production. If the reactor is turned off, then the Thresher can go almost completely unnoticed.
  • The railgun trigger is wired to the navigational terminal, meaning that the captain and gunner must communicate to operate the weapon properly.
  • Three coilguns provide almost perfect coverage of the ship.
  • Comes with deconstructor and fabricators.
  • The ballast tanks come with override switched in the conn in the case of ballast flora emergencies
  • Reasonably priced!

Flooding airlocks is a "crash dive" update that is coming soon to you in an update in your location! (But seriously, crash diving the sub using the airlocks as a weighting system is in the works and should be out soon).

"Almost perfect coverage" is a great description for the coilgun coverage. Flipping gun to gun to chase crawlers around the peripheral of the ship is just fantastic fun. For additional joy, you can flood the lower airlock assembly to dive faster.
