The finest propeller-engined passenger airliner to ever fly.
⨴ The anti-tail-smashing sensor makes takeoff easier; it automatically pitches down when the tail gets too close to the ground for comfort.
⨴ The nose wheel has steering, for easier taxiing (if you happen to want to do that).
⨴ The airliner is completely stable at ~420km/h and +4d pitch.


The Lockheed Super Constellation was an upgrade of the popular Constellation airliner, featuring a stretched fuselage, better heating and pressurisation, and bigger fuel tanks. Later variants incorporated new engines and, wingtip tanks. It first flew in 1951, and over the next decade over 250 were built and flown for commercial use.

It was among the greatest propeller-engined airliners - but also among the last, quickly replaced when the Boeing 707 and Douglas DC-8 entered the scene (though apparently there were still some flying passengers all the way up to 1993). Today, few remain, and only one still takes to the sky.

This craft has had one of the longest development times of any I've made, taking two weeks of work from inception to deployment. This owes to its ridiculous complexity in terms of surface-based construction.
