The Martyr-Class Heavy Cruiser is a ship designed to be at the center of local defense battle groups, where she serves as metaphorical anchor for smaller vessels to coordinate counter-maneuvers. Or the Martyr can assume second-line support craft in larger flotillas, where larger vessels form the backbone, screening other ships of similar or smaller class sizes. The Martyr-Class is designed with a emphasis on a sturdy hull and a effective weapons array, the Martyr-Class can hold her own against multiple combatants of equal class.

The Martyr-Class comes equipped with hard-points for six medium batteries and one large battery in the ventral hull. In Addition, the Martyr-Class features four torpedo tubes placed along the starboard and port hulls. Allowing the Martyr to effectively engage hostiles beyond standard weapon ranges. The craft also allows for the addition of up to seven subsystem upgrades allowing the mission profile of the vessel to be adapted to roles as needed.
