[QoL] Production Quota

In 1 collection by DraygoKorvan
Quality of Life Mods
7 items
Description
Quality of Life: Adds a quota list to the assemblers in game (basic and up). Assemblers will automatically add components to production if the grid contains less than the desired item count.

If something goes terribly wrong use the Reset button.

Mod is designed to be server friendly, server owner or admins can limit the number of grids per tick scanned and the number of blocks the mod queries per grid audit. This way this mod will use the same amount of CPU resources every tick, unlike inventory management scripts which compound with grid size and script count. You can set these options in the Alt+F10 mod settings menu (top left)

Large grid inventory audits are spread out over multiple ticks.

Should be compatible with modded components and modded assemblers.

TBD: Pause button.

QOL mods (inventory, production) working as expected, all quota settings are as set, no extra effort required to reset. thanks

I havent found an issue with this mod that causes any crash with the new update. The sister mod Inventory QOL was crashing. I just patched the other mod so hopefully the crash issues are fixed.

If you are still crashing after updating please provide your spaceengineers.log file in my discord and ping me thanks!

Upate.

Checking Quota button in any block that supports this function causes the game to crash. Thanks in advance for the fix and I really like this mod and is supporting mods.

Game crash following Core Update.

QOL mod for setting production quota for food processor generates crash when quota button is checked. Settings for storage limits appears to be wiped, and content are now dumped in storage containers. Would appear that the Core update has changed where quota data needs to be located. My guess is that both production and storage quota no longer functions as expected particularly for Food processor. I am yet to check other elements that affect refinery, assembler given the fact that trying to set quota for production or storage generates an instant crash. I hope this helps to find the feature fix that kills this increadibly useful mod and its sister.

I expect that the inventory quota set will also have problems but am not brave enough to fiddle settings in my current game save.

Any possibility of a sort option? It's a nightmare trying to find the item I want in the list with modded WC weapon ammo in the list.

One other possible issue (if I could otherwise get it working properly with DFE) - a bunch of recipes are for 10x, 100x or 1000x of a particular component... as far as I can tell, this mod is checking the stock level of individual component counts, but it'll queue up the specified number of instances of that recipe, so if it's a 100x recipe for example, it'll queue up 100x100 (10,000) items to top up the stock of an item that drops below a quota of 100.

Hmm, can't guess at why, but combined with the "Departure from Eden" mod - which contains both modded assemblers and a lot of modded/added components, including quite a lot that require other prerequisite components... Production Quota seems to fairly arbitrarily half work - it's not even like it'll only work with vanilla components. It'll happily queue up certain modded components, even higher-level ones with complex dependency chains... but a lot of others it seems to just completely ignore.

Shame, it seems like an ideal mod otherwise.

Um, just noticed recently that sometimes the assembler makes a few more extra of things on quota. I have a setup where 4 assemblers (1 main, 3 helper) are in line, restricted by a sorter to only pull ingots from the container and there is a sorter pulling components from them back into the storage... Any idea?

I think the new Push/Pull button is messing up the Mod?
(i cant remember if its new or not)

I love this. Is there perhaps something similar for refineries where you want a max number of ingots?
