US WWII Class A Dress Uniform

Description
UPDATE: I have made a discord to make it easier for people to follow all my mods and future projects as well as to make it easier for people to contact me about the mods I make. Here's the link, hope to see a lot of you there and hope you enjoy the update. Thank you all for being so patient.

Ladies and Gentlmen, after a long time in planning and under construction Myself and Graf Maximus are proud to present to the Arma 3 WWII Community, the US Class A Dress Uniform Mod. This project has been a colaboration between many parties of whom will be credited at the end and thanked properly for their work.

The Original Plan

The original plan for this mod was meant for private use by the 502nd PIR Arma 3 WWII Unit, but after long debate and other interested parties, it was decided to move from private to public release. This decision has been made with public interest, and other units being able to make use of the uniforms in mind.

The Class A Dress Uniform

These uniforms were made to be used with WWII units in mind. The mod features an enlisted and officer version of the dress uniform both made by Riku. Both uniforms are complete with mostly correct coloration and placement of the medals and other misc. decor. The uniforms are accompanied by garrison caps graciously provided by Simcardo of US General Equipments mod and Courtland the original author of the garrison cap model.

Contents

This mod includes two different Class A dress uniforms as well as multiple garrison caps. In total the uniforms cover 13 branches of the us military that I found most commonly portrayed in Arma 3 or fitting for a screenshot artists viewing pleasure. The ranks on the uniforms range from Private going all the way up to Colonel. The branches covered are as follows:

-Armored
-Aviation
-Cavalry
-Engineers Corps
-Field Artillery
-First Special Service Force
-Infantry
-Medical Corps
-Military Police Corps
-Ordnance Corps
-Quartermaster Corps
-Signal Corps
-Tank Destroyer Corps
-Transportation Corps

Each of the accompanying garrison caps are properly piped to match the branch of the uniform as well. Enlisted all use one cap while officers have 6 different caps based on ranks.

Hiding Uniform Sets

I've made this mod with arsenal clutter in mind. To combat the clutter i've made it possible to hide uniforms that you may not need or want. To do this you will need to know how to unpack and repack PBO files. Doing this is really only intended for those who wish to use just the PBO in a unit modpack as the workshop PBO will probably update and break the config work you did. For those still reading past this point and who know how to unpack and repack PBOs, this is how you can hide uniform sets.

1 - Unpack the PBO
2 - Convert the Config.bin to a Config.cpp via the cfgconvert tool in the Arma 3 tools
3 - Open the Config, cpp file and locate the section that has #include "configs\[uniform set].hpp"
4 - Simply put a // before the #include line of the sets you dont wish to use. You will need to do this for both the troops section and uniforms section of the config file
5 - Save the Config.cpp and delete the Config.bin
6 - Simply repack the PBO using the addon builder from Arma 3 tools and if done right you should get no errors.

After this point either make it a local mod for those who wish to use it in singleplayer or put the PBO in a unit asset mashup modpack if you wish.

UPDATE: This process will be simplified in the future when I find more time to work it out.

Future Plans

There are some plans for updates in the future. When these will occur depends on real life situations and circumstances. These planned updates so far are as follows:

-Interwar/Prewar medals
-Postwar Medals
-New HQ Visor Caps as an additional headwear
-New Garrison Cap model with new texture

Credits

Rikugun - Created the model and original texture.

Courtland - Created the old garrison cap model and original texture.

Simcardo - Ported the model to Arma 3 and also textured. Created the new garrison cap model and original texture.

Unitatoe24 - Various retextures, uniform variation and uploading to steam.

Graf-Maximus - Paid for the uniform model, testing, screenshots maker, and made it public. ^^

Coldfront - Screenshot Artist.

Frenchy - Screenshot Artist.

Iron Front Arma 3 Team - GIGANTIC THANK YOU to the IFA team for allowing me to edit their visor cap model to change the emblem on the front of the cap. Allowing my project to stay dependency free and giving additional headwear options to the uniforms.

One giant thank you to all whom have lended any hand in the project from myself and Graf, we are both very grateful for your work and hand in this project.

THANK YOU ALL

Final statement

Have fun with these uniforms ladies and gents. If you wish to use these in a unit modpack we ask that you credit the original mod and only use an edited PBO in a unit PBO mashup asset pack, and to not reupload it as your own work. You are welcome to retexture as needed for your units and such if you wish. I, Unitatoe24, am open to requests for units that wish to use this mod, if you would like custom medals on the uniforms for your members. As always, enjoy the mod, and keep an eye out for more.

Also, if you would like to sponsor Graf-Maximus project about Red Army in ww2, you can take a look on boosty - https://boosty.to/arma3_rkka

I could not find the uniforms, do I need to unpack and pack the PBO before using this mod?
