Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle Earth (ALL CURRENT EXPANSIONS)

Description
"Embark on your own adventures in J.R.R. Tolkien's iconic world with The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth, a fully co-operative, app-supported board game for one to five players! You'll battle villainous foes, make courageous choices, and strike a blow against the evil that threatens the land — all as part of a thrilling campaign that leads you across the storied hills and dales of Middle-earth."

This workshop mod features the Journeys in Middle Earth board game by Fantasy Flight, and contains all current expansions, with the most recent being Spreading War:

"War has come to the realm of Men. Shadows spread throughout Rohan and Gondor, from the tangled depths of Fangorn Forest to the haunted ruins of Osgiliath. You have encountered ruthless mercenaries that have invaded the kingdoms of Men under orders from a mysterious figure, and now you must strike out to hopefully quell the tide of violence before it becomes too great."

NOTE: To play, you need the companion app installed, which can be downloaded here for free in the Steam store! The rulebooks are also included in bags at the bottom of the board!

BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH JiME! New expansion has been included. Hopefully miniatures soon!

I built this mod starting with FondueTime's mod, The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-Earth. I ported in all of the assets for the expansion myself, except for the map tiles, which are from jsmcgo's mod, Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-Earth - Basic. Big credit to both of these users, as without the framework from FondueTime's mod and without the map tiles from jsmcgo's mod, this would have been much harder for me to create. All other expansion assets were scanned in myself, so I hope the quality is sufficient!

A BIG THANKS TO Ziggy Stardust for scanning in the 3D models of the miniatures and allowing me to use them. Go check his stuff out! His mod can be found down below if you wish to have a mod with just the miniatures.

As said in FondueTime's post, the board is set up so that on setup, players navigate from the top of the side boards to the bottom by:

1) Selecting a character
2) Picking an item
3) Picking a role, and
4) Grabbing a weakness and putting into your deck

I have left the expansion materials on a new board on the right, so that they can be shuffled into the rest of the materials or left out if you choose to play without the Shadowed Paths expansion.

Explore Map: Options/Grid: Hex Horizontal, Grid Size: 2.6, 2.6, Rotate Degrees 60
Battle Map: Options/Grid: Box, Grid Size: 1.85, 1.85, Rotate Degrees 90

I hope you enjoy! :)

If anyone would like to use these assets or improve on this mod, do so as you please! No credit needed but always appreciated. This was just a little passion project to get the expansion out to the masses!

@TheZorker Same here. Played it one time physically, barely had enough room to fit it on the table. I feel the same way about Descent and Nemesis.

I'd like to add our thanks for the mod. My BBG has a hard time getting physically together, but we enjoy the game. (I own it all.) So this mod is a godsend... and actually kind of easier than searching through 100+ tiles. ;)

You will need to keep a device or a separate window open to run the app, as it works as a virtual GM and keeps track of certain stats, enemies, and generates the map for each mission randomly. The group I play with just uses discord for one person to stream the companion app to everyone. Some people throw the stream up on a second monitor, others just ALT+TAB between the two. There used to be a tabletop sim mod that allowed people to cast their stream to a virtual screen in TTS, but I believe it was patched to my knowledge and hasn't been worked on since.

Additionally, you'll want to look up hotkeys for TTS, such as shuffle deck and other useful keybinds to help speed up gameplay. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions or issues with the mod.

If you subscribe to the mod on the steam workshop, you should be able to select it when you create a new multiplayer (or singleplayer) game on TTS. Included in this mod are PDFs of the rules for both the base game and the expansions, you'll find them at the center top of the table on one of the "pull-out" placemats of the table. A lot of the rules and getting started information can be found there.

Secondly, you'll need to download the companion app for the board game, which can be found on steam [here] (https://steamproxy.com/steamstore/app/1003400/The_Lord_of_the_Rings_Journeys_in_Middleearth/) . The app itself is free but there are paid DLCs that add more campaigns. I believe you can enable all the expansions in the settings to get access to all physical expansion campaigns for free. The paid DLC campaigns tend to be a little bit shorter than the "main" campaign and the expansion campaigns.

Hey..I am totally new to this game (or TTS at all).
Anyone can help me how to launch the game with this mod? How does the mod work? do I need to download it somewhere?

Thank you :)

I just use discord or some other app that can screen share to friends. There used to be a mod out there that allows you to screen share to a virtual screen in TTS, but I'm not sure if it still works or is even maintained. I'd suggest looking around, but you may just be stuck with having to have to tab in and out of TTS and the app, or put the app on a second screen.

How can you merge the TTS with the LOTR app to play on the story using TTS?

Unless there's a really recent one
