Dangerous Crystalline Asteroids

Description
Despite the introduction of the Leviathans and Grand Archive DLCs, space fauna rarely interact with the galaxy at large. The best you will get are the Voidworms, or if you're lucky the Stellarite Devourer chasing unprepared attackers. When asked about the past, however, the Curators briefly mention that The Hivers were once galactic pests that threatened explorers and early empires. This mod asks "How did The Hivers look when they were interstellar fauna?"

Features:
Infested Asteroids have been improved with armor hardening, mild regeneration, and improved attack range. No more slowly chipping them out one at a time! They also now have 4 growth stages and can generate with different DNA rarities. The last growth stage will spawn a new ship type, a Meteoroid, in order to propagate The Hivers to new systems.

Hiver Strikecraft, now known as Fracturants, rely on high evasion and large numbers to overwhelm their foes. And don't think missiles or other strikecraft will save you from them, as a new variant of Fracturant can appear that is capable of acting as point-defense! These changes should put each Infested Asteroid roughly on-par with a Titan in terms of toughness, especially as they grow older.

If you decide you want to make pets out of Hivers, you can! Captured Hivers can be used to clone your very own Infested Asteroids to defend your systems! Or, if you are a Hive empire, it is possible to intimidate the Hivers into friendship.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ;
While this mod doesn't overwrite any files, the Hiver solar system and the following scripted triggers are overwritten; is_capturable_space_critter_country_type, has_encountered_any_fauna, and has_any_dna. It is recommended to let any other mod overwrite changes to the scripted triggers, but to let this mod overwrite all changes to the Hiver solar system.

Because of the nature of these changes, any mod that interacts with the Hivers will be inherently incompatible. The Hiver solar system was changed in such a way that none of their related Leviathans DLC content will activate.

Cloned Hiver designs do not automatically generate, and attempting to manually save a design may sometimes cause a crash. I am unsure what causes either issue, and it seems to be a non-persistent issue as I have managed to design and build an Infested Asteroid.

still hoping this mod gets a update. Especially because the new space creatures added such as the cuttalloids and the void worms do help make the galaxy feel much more lively. but i always remember this mod way back when. @Obscuris thanks all the same.

Ship models are black boxes, crashes to desktop upon starting a game.

Sorry to say I had to remove your mod because it was causing the small red laser in the NSC2 mod to register an average damage of 1K.

The next update will include a way to forcibly spawn them in non-ironman games, though there are several mods that increase the spawn chance of systems that should be 100% compatible. I think one of the really up-to-date ones is called All Leviathans Spawn

Is there a mod that forces crystalline asteroids to spawn, that way I never miss out on your awesome mod?
