Playable Kobold Race

Description
Kobolds are small reptillian humanoids, roughly 3 feet tall. They primarily live in intricate underground cave networks, though some tribes manage on the surface. They're generally regarded as weak, unorganized, and hardly worth mention by the more civilized races. Their scales come in a range of colors, which they claim stems from their draconic heritage.

You are exemplary among kobolds - one of the few with the chance to rise above their primitive scavenger lifestyle and make a name for your tribe - truly an inspiration... though you aren't too proud to cower and grovel when needed. With other kobolds flocking to follow you, will you lead them to greatness, or bring ruin to your tribe? Maybe, if you are truly lucky, you'll even attract the attention of a dragon.

--

The Kobold race features 3 new race-appropriate portraits, 64 actions and 33 perks, with the majority focused around the early to mid levels. The class's mechanics revolve heavily around the use of allies, so it may play better with classes that don't make heavy use of allies already, though such classes may find many of the perks useful even if not using the allies added by the Kobold race. The cards primarily use Piercing and Dark damage, with a few other damage types making token appearances, but if you're playing a class that does not synergize with these, there are still plenty of utility cards to take advantage of.

A few notes:

Most allies come with one or more of three main keywords: Kobold, Tribemate, and Specialist. Almost all included allies are Kobolds; of those, some are Tribemates, some are Specialists (and a few are neither.) Many cards require either a Tribemate or a Specialist as a target - ensure you've got the right type of ally before trying to use them.

There are five 'Trap' cards. Think carefully before using these. They may seem very powerful at first (and they can be!) - but they are all very prone to accidental self-damage if used incorrectly. Read the cards carefully, and be especially mindful of when you use them, lest you meet an early - and embarrassing - end.

One of the higher-level cards may seem a bit underwhelming for its level, but maybe there's more to it than is immediately obvious...

Lastly, when you begin your run, be sure to review your Perks immediately - there are three Caste perks, of which you can choose one, which provide immediate boosts.
