Description
My version of the Warhammer 40K-based, the Imperium of Man ship mod, We Are The Imperial Navy.

Mod was originally Paragon's We Are The Imperial Navy Mod that uses ships from Reiseafa's We Are The Imperial Navy Mod. A majority of the ships in this mod are reworked or replaced versions of Paragon & Reiseafa's ship models to varying degrees.

How did I make this mod? Modelling - Autodesk MAYA, Texturing - GIMP 3.10, Graphics & Thumbnails - CLIP STUDIO PAINT, File Editing - Visual Studio Code.

Uni update: I'm still very much in the thick of my degree at the moment and my most stressful period is still ahead of me. Updates aren't guaranteed and/or will be infrequent. I'll continue to support the mod in the next upcoming Stellaris patch but no guarantees after Stellaris 3.8/3.9.

Updates

V2.0 Update - Armada - Major Update - New models for Destroyer, Cruiser, Strike Cruiser, Battlecruiser, Battleship with texture overhauls to most ships and fixes for many texture and model bugs. New technology system allowing for Imperium-exclusive ship sections. Made some optimisations to total mod file size.

V1.11.0 Update - Titans - New ship section models for the Dreadnought model, including reworks to the Emperor-class Battleship model, and the addition of the Oberon and Retribution Battleship model variants for the NSC2 Dreadnought. New model for the Titan(and Flagship as a placeholder): Apocalypse-class Battleship. Reworks to their textures.

V1.10.1 Update - Minor reworks/fidelity update to Emperor-class Battleship (Dreadnought model & texture) and Blackstone Fortress animation. Replaced Titan model with current Dreadnought model due to how out of place the model for the Apocalypse looks in this shipset (kept it for Flagship). This is just a placeholder and will be replaced again in the next major mod update. Fixed stretched texture on Cruiser (Endeavour) bow.

V1.10.0 Update - Blistering Iron - Major reworks to: Corvette, Frigate, Destroyer, Strike Cruiser models to increase fidelity. Replaced Cruiser model which was previously another Dauntless (Strike Cruiser) with the Endeavour-class Light Cruiser model, (my first model made fully from scratch - other models used a pre-made base that I modelled on top of). Added in spinning idle and moving animation for the Blackstone fortress model (Headquarters).

V1.9.1 Update - Further edits to Light Carrier[Dictator Cruiser] relay towers. Fixed missing polygons on updated models as well as fixed some texture bugs on both updated models.

Load Order
This mod should be placed above[prnt.sc] NSC2 in the load order. Files and folders in this mod should not conflict with any other mod.

Future Updates and Suggestions
The end goal in my case is to implement a Gloriana-class battleship model (based off the Macragge's Honour) as the flagship model. However, it will take me an enormous amount of time to model and texture. Alas, the chances of this happening in the near future are slim-to-none (Further update: Due to the large amount of assets I've built up over reworking a ton of ships, I'm now in a good position to model the Gloriana this summer. No promises though).

Plans for the next update involves reworks to the larger capital ship models such as the Battleship, Carrier, and Titan. Planned for release during Stellaris 3.8.

Disclaimer
As of 2023, the vast majority of the assets in this mod as well as all of the graphics, images, and thumbnails are now my original work. However:

Many of the assets in this mod were originally not my work - credits to Reiseafa and Paragon for much of the original ship assets. As I introduce more of my original work over time, the matter of fact that these two modders play a pivotal role in the existence of this mod still hold.

Special thanks to Paragon for allowing me to use his original NSC2 "We are the Imperial Navy Rebuilt" mod and to Reiseafa for being the genesis of the 'We are the Imperial Navy' project.

If you do not use NSC2, I recommend using Reiseafa's mod due to the higher customisability for the base ship-classes. Increased customisability in this mod is planned but not guaranteed any time soon.

This is a standalone mod and should not used with Paragon's or Reiseafa's mods

is NSC3 required for this? Ive never used a shipset mod so i dont know for sure but as far as i can tell it doesnt add any framework needed for this, only new ships that i dont necessarily want yet since im rather new. Same question for the UI overhaul, i find the normal one alright so does the mod not work without it?

over everything there. makes it show up in mechanical and everything seems to be working. not sure about later in the game though.

can you update this its no longer working as the ships are now bio and it messes up my human runs whenever you get the chance please update it
