Turtle Creek Central Route

Description
Based on a featured Model Railroader Magazine 4x8 layout by the same name, the Turtle Creek Central route is a hybrid between a backwoods Pennsylvanian Coal Region branch line and a model railroad.

THIS IS THE FIRST BETA RELEASE - PLEASE REPORT ANY ISSUES YOU HAVE WITH THE ROUTE.

Required DLCs:
Fort Kent Subdivision (*Other All Aboard Rails routes, such as Ohio Steel, should work as well)
US Asset Pack
European Asset Pack

This route IS Quick Drive enabled, but you will have to manually throw the switches, and I do not recommend running long trains in Quick Drive.

The Feedback Booth below is always open, what do you think of this route?

*The All Aboard Rails routes use a common set of assets, listed in your DLC list as "AllAboardCore". While I believe any one of the AAR routes should fill in all the assets not included in the US & EU Asset packs. If you find any milk bottles, please let me know below. I have not intentionally placed any on the route.

I have created a set of scenarios for this route, but I cannot post them in the workshop -- so I invite you to download this RWP file, to be installed by TSC utilities.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/18wP2tDKscPnhxPhUNjoiQX83MkevrA5E/view?usp=sharing

In each scenario, the rail cars will be arranged as you left them in the prior scenario. At the end of the series, you will have had the opportunity to drop off (and pick up) rail cars from every location on the route, so it will seem like working for a week on this small railway.

Each scenario can be completed in less than 1.5 hours at a casual pace.

Your feedback is IMPORTANT -- Please let me know how I can improve my scenarios.

Best Regards,
Dan Reid

P.S. The scenarios will appear on the "Career" tab -- there's no schedule (just drive carefully)!

Btw, don't wanna come across as grumpy, I just like testing and fixing things. Enjoying that little gem :)

It's on more times. I've unserzed all scenery tiles, search and replaced the <Product> from RailsimulatorUS to RailSimulator for each bush_bramble_near_01 occurrance.

You must have a copy of this in your installation, but no one else does :) Best to work with vanilla installations as especially the Kuju folders are prone to have different content for everyone.

..continued

The bush_bramble_near_01.bin is present in Kuju\RailSimulator though, I have changed the path in the scenery tile

Hello, just testing this route.

I have milk bottles on tile -1,-1. The asset is Kuju\RailsimulatorUS\Scenery\Vegetation\Bush_Bramble_near_01.xml

This is not part of the US Asset pack, it must come from somewhere else.

@Fleegle475 This a nice route! Thanks for sharing!

The problem resolved itself. Not sure what the issue was, but I'll take the win lol.

@kalnaren In theory, it should only require Fort Kent as that's the route I had when I built this. The problem is that Colton & Northern, Fort Kent, and Ohio Steel were all made by the same 3rd party developer and have some significant overlap of asset libraries they draw from. I think that's why the game is conflicting with what routes are required. All I can suggest is to subscribe from this page and see if that works.

Tried playing this.. TS is saying it requires the Colton and Northern route?
