Minor factions are minor

Description
.. at least economically.

If you, like me, are tired of minor factions stomping the major ones, running around with huge armies and generally disrupting factions that should be well above them then this mod might be for you.

What it does is reduce the amounts of bonus gold that minor factions get to a more realistic level. (This was improved in Patch 15, but is still an issue.) It also introduces some slight balancing changes in economy for certain factions.
This in turn reduces the minor factions' ability to sustain unrealistically huge armies with only one minor region, and it also makes it possible for the major AI factions to actually expand instead of just dying off like any minor.

Minor factions can still form empires if they conquer other minors first though. So you still have the possibility of unlikely upstarts.(Which is fun!) But they wont be killing major factions unless they gang up en masse or form a bigger empire.

The potential extra bonuses the CAI gets in Very Hard & Legendary modes are not touched, but the general income reduction still applies.

This is just me sharing a personal mod I made. I am not really a modder and what I've done is not difficult to do and takes maybe 20 minutes to do yourself(barring the balancing and testing process), so if you want to make your own variations in case you are unhappy with mine it's easily done with Pack File Manager and this guide: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?620537-Warscape-Modding-Primer

This mod does NOT require a new campaign to work, but it is highly recommended.

Since a lot of people are asking:This IS compatible with just about any other mod as long as they don't change the economy(Specifically income) of the game.
Those that do will most likely not break your game, but it will mess up the balance since it likely has different design philosophies.

Permissions - Anyone can use this mod for whatever purposes they want. There is no need to ask for my permission or even credit me. I would love it if you drop me a line if you decide to use it for something though, as I'd be very delighted to see what you're using it for :)

This mod is for the Grand Campaign only. It is untested and unsupported on other campaigns.

A "dirty", manual fix(If you don't want to use the mod for whatever reason)

No need for an update as the small patch that was released does not touch any of the same files.

update?

I don't think the game will crash if you run with both mods, but this mod is by no means balanced for the gameplay of Para Bellum so I have no idea how it will affect a campaign.

inane question incoming: does this work with parabellum?

i expect is does not as para belleum is an overhaul mod, but you never know with mods
realisticly my fallout 4 and new vegas should not even start let alone be playable but they are.

As far as I'm aware, there has not been a patch since 2018 and the mod is updated for that, so the mod doesn't need an update. The problem is probably something else, but feel free to try other mods that do the same thing, maybe you'll have more luck with those!

That's strange. As long as you played the Grand Campaign it should work just fine if it was activated properly. It doesn't eliminate the possiblity for minor faction upstarts completely though, so it may have just been the way your game went for whatever reason.
There are other mods on the workshop that do the same thing in various ways, so you could try those aswell :)

Didn't work for me. Rome still ended up being a baby, and the minor factions still had huge stacks running around.
