I wanted a more driving and forward soundtrack for the game, so I created the Metropolis FM station. The selection will not be limited to any single genre -- from house and techno to breaks, jazz, and ambient music, the uniting factor of Metropolis FM will be that its tunes meld seamlessly into the game while adding to its energy.

Update (March 2022): Updated with three new tunes to soothe you in these troubled times, been playtesting with these for a while and they feel right. Also re-encoded some tracks from the original WAVs at more efficient bitrates, lowering file size while also maintaining audio transparency. I hope you are all safe and well. Glory to Ukraine!

Update (August 2021): After two years of extensive testing, I feel this current set of tracks somewhat aptly captures the energy and heft I am going for with this station. I am currently looking at diversifying and adding less drum-heavy stuff like jazz as well as even more frenetic stuff like more drum 'n bass. I am trying to be as selective as possible to find tunes and an overall set which meld well with the aesthetic of the game: if you have any ideas for songs that might fit, I welcome suggestions. Also, I've decided against adding a weather schedule for now, as determining which tracks work best in which weather is too much to consider.
