Bridge Abutment by VecchioChristo
This asset was built and included in my Coos Bay map. If you wish to use it independently of the Coos Bay map you will need move it and prop snapping. It's category is "building electricity", this was the only way I could figure out how to bury it in the ground and be able to freely adjust its elevation.
A peculiarity of the "building electricity" configuration is that it has to be placed in water! ( this at least has been my experience, I'm new at this so if there's a better way I'm all ears!
Find it mod is probably a good idea! Place the bridge abutment in water near it's final location, then use move it for proper positioning. You can copy or just drag the original. Page up and page down adjust elevation of course and you can use alt arrow keys for accurate placement.
The "node" is rather small and can be difficult to locate after the bridge abutment has been placed under a bridge and buried in the ground. For further positioning or for whatever reason you would need to locate it's node , use move it's rectangle marquee set to "building" only. Drag over the piece and you can easily select it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've only known of this asset for a day, and I've already used it to fix a couple of dozen of graphical oddities due to bridge to ground level transitions not rendering the way I'd like. For the record, I'm using it with the Network Anarchy mod instead of prop snapping and it works fine with that one too. In fact, with Network Anarchy enabled, I can do the initial plop on dry land. That it is an electrical asset has had some unintended side benefits too, like allowing me to delete a few stub power lines that cross freeways. This is a great idea.

Agreed. This asset is insanely useful and the texturing is great. Would you consider releasing additional 3D shapes textures ultra high quality, grungy appearance? The high texture quality would allow it to stand up to some mild stretching when scaling.

This is one of the most insanely useful assets in the workshop. I'm finding regular uses for it. Thanks for making this!

Thumb Up! Load this lasts week. Started up a new build using Russ's Island Map. Use this on every bridge. Very Good Asset.
