Simple Camping Extras

Description
This mod adds more structures that you can use to make camping easier.

All of these items are built without cost because they are made of scavenged materials and they are meant to be temporary. At least they are temporary from a roleplaying perspective, the structutres do not decay.

The new items are listed under CAMPING within the category "Camping Extras."

This mod includes these changes to existing furniture:

Campfire:
The max operators for the camp fire is changed to 1. Now the campfire must be used by someone to cook meat. This now allows an increase in the character's cooking skill.

Camp Bed:
The bed does not require sleeping bags. The sleeping bags are now just another commodity to buy and sell.

Scrap Tent:
The scrap tent does not require anything to build. The recipe still needs to be purchased at a Travel Store.

This mod includes these new items of furniture:

Dim Torch Post:
This torch costs nothing to build but it is only as bright as the lantern on a pack animal. It's better than nothing.

Food Stash:
This smashed box that someone found on the side of the road can be used to store food for people and animals. It costs nothing to build.

Old Sitting Box:
An old discarded box used as a seat. It requires no materials. It only faces one direction. The open top of the box is to the left of the user's feet. I uploaded a picture.

Prisoner Pole:
A scavenged piece of wood that's been pounded into the ground to allow temporary storage of prisoners. It's compatible with recruitment mods.

Smashed Chest:
A old chest someone found smashed by the side of the road. You can store anything in here. It costs no materials to build.

This mod was made with adapted vanilla assets.

It should still work as it just adds blueprints for existing items. It’s possible there’s a conflict with where I put it on the menu. I would encourage doing an import from the game menu if it doesn’t work.

Hi, I added you mod to my game and have been enjoying it alot. It is a cool addition. I tried to add something to the camping menu as well. Not like your's but a way to add barrels and things to a camp. I was using the 'duplicate item' right click option in the building/exterior list. But am not getting any success to actually adding it.

I tried creating a 'new item' though there is a listing for 'instance' that I am not seeing in the menu list, or perhaps it is created somewhere else?

I thought since you had success in adding items to the camping menu, that I could ask you how to do that, so I could get my little mod to work.
Appreciate the time and thank you for the cool mod.

No worries. An import fixes very nearly every thing that goes wrong with Kenshi mods. :mhwgood:

My bad, it actually DOES shine. :esc_candle:
It didn't shine any light at all (not even like a lantern as you mentionned) until I imported my saved game a second time.

Thanks for the great mod! :selphinehappy:
