First up : I DID NOT CREATE THIS 3D MODEL OR TEXTURE, I only did the fiddly bits to make it (mostly) work in Kenshi. It is the original work of Dennis Haupt, who kindly released it for non commercial use. Visit his website at https://3dhaupt.com/, he has some cool stuff.

This is a wooden watchtower, with guns and lights so you can see what you shoot and shoot what you see!

  • It's decently high so you get a nice height bonus to your turrets (increased range).

  • Three turret mounts on each of front, right and left sides. One mount out the rear window.

  • Custom lights - not built into the model, but as new lights available for building. 'Watchtower Spotlight' and 'Watchtower Searchlight', basically just range-buffed versions of the vanilla lights.

  • Pathing up the stairs can occasionally blip out, or cause turrets to be operated from the ground floor. If it's misbehaving, make sure it's upright and that the ramp is in the dirt. Use Shift-F12 for fine tuning the placement if necessary (will need a save/reload afterwards).

  • Unlocked with the 'Defensive Walls' tech.

  • Make sure the entry ramp is in the dirt when you build it, or no one will be able to get in.

Characters can't climb up the stairs. They can go halfway up, then they can't find a path any higher.

Not functional currently, seems to be a pathing issue. All placed turrets are unusable.

Looking nice , i got it and can use it for its spotlight only , ppl cant get up to where the turrets are , they get like 3/4 of the way up and get stuck , any ideas?

Unfortunately, despite my love for the model and gun emplacements, this mod is completely unusable. You will never get the correct angle, at least in the Border Zone to build it properly anchored. The one time I managed to get the ramp in the dirt, my units still could not use the tower. The pathing on this model is completely broken.

my people go up the stairs then turn and when they start going up the next lot of stairs they fall through it?

I love your mod.
I subscribed to the Wooden Watchtower.
And I had a problem with the Collision of Wooden Watchtower.
So I created a mod that fixes Collision.

I will remove the mod if there are any problems for you.

i have the same problem as astifury
my pc's cant climb it anymore
they managed to build a ballista on top, but now cant climb the tower anymore

Did you lower them to the terrian when building Astifury:?

sadly ive had remove this mod, have tried building and using multi towers 10 times now and each time no one can climb into any of the towers, it looks good but its eye candy only folks :(
