Description
The Death Wish active item allows you to challenge extra bosses and earn extra items.

When used you are teleported to a new boss room separate from the one with the exit trapdoor, the boss you fight is totally random, but does not include bosses which are marked on the completion note like satan or mom's heart.

Upon defeating the boss an item from the boss item pool will spawn but you won't get a trapdoor or devil/angel rooms.

(If you use this and beat a boss while in the Dark Room it will trigger the message about victory laps, not sure how to stop this from happening)

It is a 6 charge item and only gets 2 charges from batteries.


This is included in POTATO PACK 1.

that's definitely a cool synergy, will update so the item doesn't work if used while in a temp boss room

Not sure if intended, but if you have the Hairpin trinket, this item is infinite use. Pretty fun when you're good enough to fight multiple bosses in a row, so I encourage you not to fix it. On the other hand, when using Death Wish in the room it just teleported you to after beating the boss, you'll sometimes get a room where the boss is already counted as beaten, so it's just a free pedestal. With the Hairpin, free item rooms can be chained until it randomly throws you a living boss. That part probably SHOULD be fixed.

tl;dr - I'd like it if you left it as infinite use with the Hairpin, cuz that's fun, but stopped it from giving free items when you teleport without leaving the boss room, cuz that's not.

This idea would work better as a rune than as an active item.
