Description
Feel tired selecting the best location for your next city? Still trying to count what cities are in 6 tiles wonder effect radius?

The best brand new tool for visual city location estimation and various radius related bonuses measurements is here for you only for "Rate Up" the mod!

Works with GS.

Radial Measuring Tool is a simple tool to visually estimate city location and to measure effect distances. It also shows terrain Yields in not owned tiles in radius and yield/tile count changes between the last and current measured locations. It can also estimate plots and mark the notable locations inside the radius.

New tool button to show/hide RMT dialog is added next to the civilopedia button on top right corner of the screen.

Default settings configuration

Make a copy of the file UserSettingsEXAMPLE.lua and name the copy UserSettings.lua
Edit the settings in the file UserSettings.lua (read the description in the file).

Differences between this version and the Radial Measuring Tool version

This version contains "Ignore map visibility option"
This version shows resources not visible on the map due to absence of required technology

Could you add a option for Colosseum? So we know how many tiles/cities are within it's range.

Hi Zur13,
your mod has been translated by ASM590319 into German and the translation is now part of the German translations for Civilization VI mods mod pack.
We would be more than happy if you could refer to the language translation in your mod description.

When I searched for this mod, two were listed. Any difference between them, they have the same update date.

Have used this mod since its inception, a must have. Question though - any way to prevent the tool from ignoring tiles already 'owned' by other cities? For instance, when I'm expanding, would be nice to see ahead of time "Am I going to keep that enemy city, or raze it because 2 hexes away is a better city center?" If there's an option for this I'm not finding.

Hey, I love this tool; I can no longer play without it!

I have a couple feedback items, if you happen to have time:

1. A "clear all selections" button would be great - when using multi-radius highlight, it's annoying to scroll around the map right-clicking every single one of my Factories, so that I can go back and click each of my Water Parks - or whatever I'm doing at the moment - to "switch planning modes." Even better, although the ratio of development-effort-to-value probably doesn't justify it, would be full multiple-set-selection, i.e. switching *between* sets-of-radii which stay saved.

2. Having different radiuses for multi-selection stay persistent would be great - i.e. if I drop one radius at 9 tiles for a Water Park in one city, and then another radius at 6 tiles for a Zoo in another city, the first selection should stay at 9 tiles instead of also adjusting to 6. (This sort of multi-radius planning is great for founding late-game cities within the range of existing cities' AOEs.)

3. Finally, and I suspect this is a huge longshot given what's available to modders in the game … but it'd be really nice to be able to *use other lenses* while the Radial Measuring Tool is open. (i.e. with the above-described selections made, switch over to the "Settler" view to see fresh-water and whatnot; but tiles out-of-range of the Zoo and Water Park remain dimmed despite switching lenses.) Here's hoping!

Thanks for your time; and thanks even more for such an awesome quality-of-life mod!

In the latest update, I've added an option for radius combo box to fit the civilopedia description "within X tiles". Hope I've calculated it correctly :)
