Description
Duplicates the default country roads (motorways) as city roads in the game for aesthetic purposes. This will stop the AI changing inner city motorways to streets.

In order to stop the AI building on the motorways, and connecting roads to them, you should use your usual method of AI building control. I personally recommend the Fences mod by CPU Skully, listed below.

Thanks for the disclaimer that all city roads auto turn into country roads in 1925... oh wait

had to disable - at 1925 the AI uses these instead of the regular city roads- making cities look... extremely wrong

I'm getting annoyed at this mod, because i hit the year 1925 and suddenly the AI decided to replace all roads with this one, so now i don't have sidewalks anywhere

Indeed... but which mod.... the only ones that I have added since the last time that I think it worked are Onionjacks cars. But I am checking further. Will get back to you.

I tried replicating it, but no success. Tried in both my current series and with an unmodified game, no luck. I can only assume it's a mod clash.

OK, this is a really nice mod GrandT. The bigger 4 and 6 lane roads work fine, but I am getting repeated crashes if
I upgrade some 4 lane roads to Country roads as city streets, then
switch back to the Small Country road to update a couple of those that I use as off an on ramps.
Even before I try to update... simply selecting the small Country Roads as.... crashes the game.

Any suggestions?

@Warmongering Anorak: Probably best to add it to an established map. Good to know though! I've not seen them use the fake country roads on my map yet, although that's not to say they wont.

@SpecialistZer0: Anytime, it was to save my own sanity too. :)

On a fresh map, these roads become the default AI build roads. When making a new map all roads the country roads, and all AI growth is done with the country roads, which is a right pain.
