My skills improved and so I finally released a much better mapo of my hometown. :)

A map of the beautiful, 89,000 inhabitant city of Gießen in the middle of Hesse, Germany.

Founded in 1152 the city nowadays is a centre for science, education, medical care and economy in the middle of Hesse. Being the location of several institutions of higher education Giessen is one of the youngest German cities by population - nearly every second citizen is a student.

The map is based on a heightmap so the terrain should be quite accurate.

All highways and train lines were built with image overlay mod so they are quite accurate. I also added a plane corridor to keep your business growing.

I built the inner avenue ring for your orientation. Lines of bushes show you the course of all main arterial roads.
