Description
Updated for "Total War: WARHAMMER II – The Hammers & Herdstones".

You might be aware of the fact that campaign camera settings are saved to your savegames.
Which means you have to choose your prefered campaign camera settings again and again whenever you start a new campaign. If that is something that annoys you as much as it annoys me then this mod is for you.

How it's done:
This mod adds a Save, Load and a Reset Button to the campaign camera settings ui. These allow you to save to and load from a cameraPreferences.txt file in your warhammer directory or reset to default settings (same way log files are done).
In addition whenever you start a new campaign your latest saved settings are automatically applied.

Requirements:
The Save Camera Settings mod uses ui elements utilizing Vanishoxyact's UI Modding Framework.
Therefore, subscribing to the UI Modding Framework is required for this mod to work properly!

Not needed anymore! I originally used the UI Modding Framework because I wasn't sure if I want to expand the scope of the mod. Since I don't intend to do that anymore, creating only three UI element without it is not a problem.

Limitations:
  • Individual faction camera settings are not affected. IMO these settings are very much specific to a given campaign and I therefore see no point in saving/loading these for every campaign.
  • Can't be made multiplayer compatible.

Is this mod save-game compatible?
Yes.

Is it compatible with ... ?
Yes.

The save button does not show up. I assume this means there is something wrong. I enabled the mod and it does not warn about the wrong version. Not sure what is up.

Hi, I'm porting your mod into WH3 and almost achieved success in it. (Currently stuck at the part where the target UI is highlighted but not changed.) If I succeed in it, is it okay for me to upload it to the workshop? I really enjoyed your mod in WH2 and want WH3 players could benefit from your work.
