South Wales Coastal: Newport Rails v1.0

Description
My first foray into route building involves a relatively modest expansion for DTG's South Wales Coastal. I have expanded on their work around Newport, filling-out Park Junction and extending the Ebbw Vale branch through the former Bassaleg Junction to Newport's other station: Pye Corner.

I have also began work on the Machen branch which is complete as far as Bassaleg Junction. I intend to continue this branch to its terminus at Machen Quarry.
The East Usk branch has been filled out a little and now runs as far as the A48 overbridge.

As this is my first effort there are some "schoolboy errors" including some uneven track in places which I cannot seem to rectify. Park Junction has Semaphore signals still and the only suitable WR Gantry types that are Workshop-friendly come from Riviera 50's. Unfortunately they do not seem to animate correctly, this may be my inexperience again or some other issue that I know not of.

Constructive comments welcome.

Xcelatron54 Thanks for your helpful comments. I've seen you tube tutorials on signalling and understand that real world and TS may not be the same.

Good start to the route keep up with the work.
Answers to some of your questions/problems:

Some/All? of the junction signals in the rivera 50's route do bug out - I do not know why.

The west somerset railway addon has some western region style signals.

A good way to undestand signals is create new route (leave as flat terrain) and just create junctions crossovers etc and put sigs and trains on and see what happens + good for experimenting with assets & scenery, terrain.

Nice little route, not living far from Pye Corner had to have a look.Once i realised it runs from Newport to Pye then on to Cardiff coming in on platform 3 unloaded passengers still not in right platform ran though to sidings change cab back into Cardiff the right platform this time. This made intresting run. Hope you progress with route don't worry about errors it will come together for you . all the Best
