Let's Play Tall

Description
Now compatible with Gathering Storm.

Are you tired of the concept "the more cities the better" in Civ VI?

This mod limits the amount of settlers each civilization can train. The limit, which defaults to 4, can be altered in the extended game setup and counts for every civ in the game, no matter if human or AI. As soon as the limit is reached the civ gets a free national Wonder automatically built in its capital: The House of Eternal Unity. It increases the border expansion by 50% and the city population growth by 25% in every city of the player. This way it is possible to build taller cities.

You should add some more opponents to the game depending on the settler amount to make the game more interesting. Otherwise there's too much blank space on the map.

A player can of course have more cities than the given limit, e.g. by capturing foreign settlers, taking other cities or building the Statue of Liberty (and getting free settlers). It is on purpose that settling new cities is still possible even if you can't train more settlers any more.

Attention: This has not been tested with other mods and neither in multiplayer.

Unfortunately I was not able to implement art or a wonder movie yet. I'm new to modding and still not there to get it working. So help is very welcome. Nevertheless I wanted to release the mod right now and will update it in the future if some people enjoy it.
All in all I would be very happy to get feedback from the community to improve it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks to Gedemon for some help and especially for the saveload script!

IMPORTANT: Rise and Fall required!

Supported languages: English and German.

so i had a thought, and i might be wrong, but do the ai, get a different settler mid game? cause for most of the game they wont make them, but then it feels like at an era, they can produce them. ill watch more in to it and keep an eye on it. but i feel like it may be a different settler then the normal one.

Same issue. Works for a while, then they start building settlers again.

yeah I am having the same problem as Ratchet&Clank. it seams to happen after turn 200. I am going to set up another game just running the Let's Play Tall mod by it self and see if it does the same thing.

Is this mod bugged? I've seen ai building 7 cities while it should be restricted to 2

Have you ever had the situation where it worked early game, but late game AI are now building settlers again (after having reached the maximum)? I've noticed it particular for AI Zulu and Scythia -maybe they get free settlers? But now I see even Russia has a settler in production in one of its cities.

It's working again now since a small patch from 2k went out a day or so ago. It also reset my settings though, like I had just bought the game. lol Anyways I'm playing it now just fine without Rise and Fall. This and Starting Scout are the only mods I use and are the two best on the workshop IMO. Thanks.
