Introduction
The new modding tool is under development and for the peeps who like to peak a little bit into the progress, we've made it available for you. But first things first, this guide will help you through the little bits of the Mod Manager a.k.a ModMana and the progress of uploading mods, it's simple! We promise!
Using ModMana
The usage of ModMana is very simple but here we explain it even further with images!

The UI

The UI is very easy to understand.

On top are always the key features of ModMana, below that will be the workshop content. You can see that by the prefix of the headers e.g "Workshop -- Enemies" in this case.

On top we have 2 features.
  • Item Search
  • Item Filter

The Filter is still work in progress but is stable in its current state.

The settings got as of writing only 2 options.

  • Automatic Updates -- Should ModMana automaticly update your workshop?
  • Cache Downloads -- Should Workshop files stay on your Harddrive even after unsubscribing it to allow faster installs?

These settings are stored in a file under the user directory

ModMana has the capability of displaying information, subscribing and rating workshop items.

We recommend to use ModMana rather than the Steam version of the workshop, because ModMana displays if the Mod is from a trusted source (See the Be Quiet! Logo in the image, which means it has been published by a developer).
Uploading Workshop Items
Uploading workshop items is easier than you expect!

This simple tool will assist you in this task, you simply have to select the folder where the workshop items are located, select the preview image and fill out the MetaData. Boom done!

All Initially uploaded workshop items will be set to private, and after uploading the tool will open the workshop item on your steam instance!
Update Items
The update process is slightly different from the uploading process.

Simply open ModMana, select your workshop item and click edit!

This will open the uploader and pre-fill all information provided by steam!

All you have to do is select the folder and optionally update the preview!
