Modular Buildings Series
Houses created for this series have been put together in the 'Modular Buildings' collection.

Modular Buildings: UK Modern (Pebble 1)
This is the second pack in a collection of Modular Buildings. The look of the modules has been specifically created for modern UK housing, however, due to their flexibility many building designs can be created. Many of the modules are double-sided allowing for even more flexibility.

This second pack is based on the common pebble-dashed render seen all over the UK. Other wall finishes will follow.

This pack can be used in conjuction with the other module packs to create varied wall houses.

The five 'Front Door' modules have been given RICO settings of low residential from level 1-5. For the building to be used by citizens each building will require one of these 'Front Doors'. I recommend only using one front door per building. If you are not using RICO then the front doors will act as monuments.

How to use
See the reference images above.

These modular assets require the Move It mod to allow the placement of the pieces.

1: Place the desired RICO level Front Door roadside.

2: In free space plop down the other elements of the building that you will use.

3-8: Using the Move It mod, copy modules and move them into the desired position. I recommend copying as the building may need duplicate elements and it's much easier to rotate the item with a right click.

9-13: Position roof modules in the appropriate positions.

14-16: Grab a chimney and position it.

17-20: The whole house can be selected and then copied to create several separate houses or semi and terraced groups.

Textures
Each element uses the same 1024 x 1024 texture with a 512 LOD.

I recommend using the Loading Screen mod as all modules use the same textures the mod will share them reducing any load on your machine.

These assets have textures and LODs with normals, specular and illumination maps.

If RICO is being used the five Front Door Modules can be found in the RICO Low Residential menu. The other modules can be found in the 'Unique Buildings 1' tab.

Would be great if you could add non modular versions of the same houses

Nice to add some flexibility to go along with the complete house assets you have made. The alternative to modular is clipping houses together which is hit and miss. For people creating scale versions of UK towns and cities and need a few variations here and there, this is great.

@Pirazel It's not really designed for large scale use. I see it more as a creating more variety in areas that are for detailing. I understand your concerns.

Every piece is an onject and has to be handled by the cpu. So a large suburban settlement with 100 houses each of them made with 20 piece will need some calculation time. Look how Planet Coaster is able to bring the most powerful cpu to its knees with all the objects in the buildings. I just want to say that a modular building system might be just to performace hungry if used in large scale.

@Pirazel As all the modules use the same texture using the loading screen mod will allow them to only need 1 texture to load regardless how many modules you place. The tri count is tiny. Let me know how you get on.

Cool thing but isn't this a fps killer?
