DOOM Visualizer

Description
Someday back in 2015, ID Software was already acquired by Bethesda and they announced a reboot of my beloved Doom franchise. I thought to myself: "Ok, now you´re done with future Doom releases, they gonna ♥♥♥♥ it up hard."

Fast forward to 13th of May 2016: Oh boy, was i wrong! ID and Bethesda managed to put together some badass, fast-paced and ultraviolent FPS that i enjoyed every second of it. On top of that they hired the excellent game music composer Mick Gordon who combined mostly metal with dubstep / industrial elements to create a soundtrack that is at least as violent as the game itself. 11/10.

So what else to do other then creating a wallpaper that captures the DOOM feeling?

Here is my tribute to one of the greatest gaming series in history. Ladies and Gentlemen, without further ado, the DOOM Visualizer.

You guys have fun with it. Comments are of course welcome. ^^

btw: i put some tracks from the Doom soundtrack into this wallpaper. Bethesda released it for free on their YouTube channel some time ago.

Update 02.07.2018: fixed some smaller transparency issues with the DOOM letters
Update 30.12.2018: got many requests to remove the blood and broken glas effect on the background so i added the possibility to show / hide it, you can find in the properties for the wallpaper
Update 20.01.2018: fixed a problem with the user customizations for the blood and the glas effect

Yes, mute the wallpaper and play your own tracks. ^^

That's how audio responsive wallpapers work, they record your Windows sound output and certain parts react to the different frequencies. The only thing you need to do is to go to the Wallpaper Engine settings and set the wallpapers to mute as soon as any other source is playing a sound. :cozybethesda:
