[VSI] Recolorable Thrusters

Description
Void Star Industries proudly presents the technology to recolor any thruster flames from the control panel. No more predefined flame colors that don't match your paint job. Simply go into the thruster's control panel and set your preferred color with the color sliders. If you want the default colors back, just click the "Reset Default Colors" button.

Please rate it, if you like it.

How to use:
You can set the colors for the idle thrust and/or full thrust flames from the terminal. There are also properties to set them from programmable blocks (called "FlameIdleColorOverride" and "FlameFullColorOverride").

If you check the "Lock Flame Colors" checkbox, changes to these properties are ignored. This way even if you have a mod or in-game script that wants to change the color, you can lock-in your own values.

The "Flame Render Mode" slider controls how the idle and full colors are used when rendering the flames. When it's set to Linked, the full color will always be the same as the idle color. Blended mode is the original rendering mode and Separate will use only the idle color when the thruster is idle and only the full color when it's thrusting so you can have two totally different colors for the different states without any blending messing up your carefully selected color.

The "Hide Thrust Flames" checkbox will let you hide the flames for example for front or breaking thrusters that might be hidden but where the thrust flames still leak through.

On your request, as of the last update, the alpha value of the flame colors can also be changed. I am still not sure if it makes sense to change it. Maybe on custom thruster this can useful somehow.

Color information is saved in CustomData, so it's kept between reloads and even in blueprints and you can be set there - not sure why would anyone want to do that, but hey :)

Additional Information:
This mod should work for any thrusters, even modded ones. If there are any problems, just leave a comment and I'll try to look at it.

Multiplayer is working both in local games as well as on dedicated servers.

Thrusters without flames like hover engines won't show the color sliders in the terminal since they wouldn't do anything anyways.

Ok so I only checked it for a few minutes, but it seems like you got it all set. It's not doing that blinking thing it was doing after the update

I was more or less sure about single player. I am more curious about MP :)

I tested it in my single player save and it works fine there. I can test it on my server tomorrow, just don't feel like messing with mods tonight

I have updated the mod. Didn't have to time to thoroughly test it or to test it in multiplayer, so I'd appreciate if someone could check if it works in MP.

Btw, Keen has either just introduced a bug (or maybe it was there before I just didn't notice) where if you have a thruster in override and toggle another thruster on, all the thruster flames disappear - this can be reproduced in the base game...

Same here, I've grown dependent on this mod and I hope that Darkmist can get it working again without too much hassle

I too am having the restarting animation problem.

it appears to not be an isolated bug, i too am getting thruster strobing after the core systems update. that horrible little man is spiting fax, this should be a base feature <3

I haven't had time to take a loot, but I will check what happened and if it can be fixed.

seems Core Systems has caused the plume of thrusters using this mod to restart their animation for when you first thrust, no idea why but it would be greatly appreciated if this is fixed as i love the thruster customizations possible with this mod

Keen has made a mess of your hard work (work which should be base game).

Now my ship is a strobe light.

I am not necessarily complaining.
