Description
FULLY VANILLA- WORKS IN MOONS ONLY (0.25G)- READ INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECT USE

UPDATE 1: now the ring station will stop the pods more gently. Added pretty lights.

ASM has a preference for low gravity and space bases due to the fact it allows for the use of gravity devices. An important example of such advantage is this building. Easy to build and deploy, it allows for the transfer of cargo and structures in a cheap and safe way to the orbit of low gravity planetoids or moons, being a much more efficient way of delivering cargo than dedicated ships. With the potential of being fully automated, these launchers are a common sight in Aegis bases


This device is designed to launch cargo into lunar orbit in a cheap, safe and energy eficient way. Using gravity generators (located in the central tower), objects with artificial mass can be launched into orbit.

To deploy:
- Spawn this making sure only the central tower is in contact to the voxel. Make sure the groups called "Gravitic railgun", "gravity stop" and "AM" are all off.

-Remove the two blue blocks keeping the exterior ring and the tower conected, but keep the conectors. Enter the cockpit of the ring station. Enter the information section of the K menu and check the ring is a ship and not a station (you will probably have to turn it into a ship manually by using the option in said menu. Make sure you are disconnected from the tower when you do that)

-once the ring is separated and a ship, attach with the connectors.

-Turn on "AM", "gravitic railgun", and be sure "gravity stop" is off. Disable inertia dampeners.

-Disconect from the launcher. If you did everything well now you are on your merry way to orbit. Dont move and keep dampeners off

-Once you leave the gravity well of the moon, stop, keeping yourself aligned with the launcher. turn off "AM" and activate the "gravity stop".

Now the system is ready to work!. To launch a pod simply connect it into the launch pod, connect it, activate the railgun and the artificial mass of the pod, turn off dampeners, disconect. You should arrive at the ring station, that will make sure you stop in time (thats what the gravitic stoppers do) (activate the pod dampeners as soon as you leave the gravity well)

Maximum tested cargo of the pod is one million kilos.

The stopping station is probably to strong currently, although you should keep in mind the cargo pod included in this blueprint is empty. Still I will refine it to be gentler. Remember that the pod should only be loaded of cargo when its connected in the launch station.

you can set the launch sequence on a timer and if you time it right you can also make it automatically brake when out of gravity well

I can't really think of any reason for that to happen. I have had no problems placing them, and I imagine most of the people who have tried haven't had either. :/

block limits were disabled and i was placing it on the moon. i have no mods and followed the instructions to the letter. yrt the frame is red.

i probably pinned the problem, currently when you separate the ring from the tower it is considered a station and as thus cant move at all. Check new instructions.
