Atlanta Airport Environs

Description
This is a fairly accurate replica of the region surrounding Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The main feature of this map is the road and rail infrastructure which services the Airport.
There are no resources added except water, but players can add their own if they wish. I have used the standard 18x18kms with a height map, which is why the terrain is so bumpy. A lot of time was spent cutting roads though bumps and smoothing out roads. If there are errors, please let me know.
Have fun with your Airport builds. Alternatively you could use the airport perimeter as a downtown perimeter if you wish. The choice is yours.

No. The Atlanta downtown is off this map to the north. However, if you wanted to, you could create a downtown in the middle of the map instead of an airport.

Thanks. Yeah i could have added more water, but this is easy in the landscaping tools. I'm very busy on my most recent project of Fort Worth at the moment.

Hmmmm.
Think I use this map because nice spaced out airport ground lines and the already useable road network.
digg a big lake for water.
Give it a little european look and 'bob's your uncle!'

Phoenix is absolutely huge. Set to the normal 18x18 kms it would just be the CBD and inner suburbs. That also might be a totally flat map.
Right now i am working on the Dallas Ft Worth Airport area. The map will be complete very soon.
