Description
This mod is a total replacement of the INDEP FIA forces, bringing them more in line with modern day equipment, weapons and uniforms.
It works in the official Arma 3 Campaign and custom scenarios that use the INDEP FIA faction will be using the new faction as well.

The Faction-

The FIA (Freedom and Independance Army) draws it's origins and name from the 1985 anti-Soviet resistance movement of the same name that fought in the Malden and Everon conflicts.
The modern FIA was established out of civilians and Altis Armed Forces defectors following a coup d'etat in the capital city of Kavala, causing a civil war between the FIA and AAF to break out.

These INDEP FIA forces are irregular fighters who have remain loyal to the AAF Government during the Civil War, and they have been supplied and supported by the AAF military.

The INDEP FIA are armed with the G3 and HK33 carbines as primary weapons, with the compact HK53 used in some roles. The standard support weapons are the M249 SAW, G3/SG-1 for Marksman, with the rarer PSG-1 for snipers and sharpshooters, and the primary AT weapon is the RPG-32. Standard sidearm is the same as the host AAF forces, the M1911. The fighters wear a mix of Lizard camo mixed and civilian/geurilla clothing.

Supports-

The FIA is supported primarily by re-purposed and camouflaged civilian vehicles, including technicals, Jeep's, vans and trucks, but also has access to mortars. A Cessna TTX is available for recon from the air.


Faction has full Editor, Zeus and ALiVE support (faction name IND_G_F ) Also supports ACE3 Medical system.
It totally replaces the INDEP FIA faction in editor, Zeus, ALiVE and all scenarios played when the mod is enabled.

Oh, the difference is that the INDEP FIA are INDEP (GREEN) team, so are allied with Green troops, like the AAF, while the OPFOR FIA are OPFOR (RED) team, allied with CSAT.

FIA in the vanilla game has versions for BLUE, RED and GREEN, they are used in some campaign missions and scenarios, but they are hidden by default and not easily visible/ usable.

FIA versions in the base game are visually and weapon wise identical apart from their team- what I wanted to do was make them visible to everyone rather than hidden, and make the different team versions visually and gear wise unique, so you have some idea of who is backing the FIA fighters rather than all of them being identical.

I mean what's the difference between the INDEP FIA and the OPFOR FIA?

All my mods for vanilla factions are replacement packs. This means it totally replaces the INDEP FIA faction in editor, Zeus, ALiVE and all scenarios played when the mod is enabled.

I have a labelling system. This particular one has [NIA] at the end, as it uses NIA weapons- I have other versions with [RHS], [SMA] or [CUP] for example, just to give people options to use the mods they want.

Major Update for the INDEP FIA Overhauled [NIA Edition]-
-New custom AAF Lizard Camo for all units with camo uniforms instead of using Apex Lizard.

That was intended- the NIA M249 could not carry enough ammo for the AI units to really use it without being overencumbered as the belts are much heavier in NIA compared to the Apex M249.

Thank you for uploading this mod, but i have a problem with the MG class every time i spawn a machinegunner he spawns with a LIM85 from APEX DLC MG instead of the M249 from the NIArms.

Bug fix update- Fixed troop transport Technical cargo bay.

After looking into it, it seems that this mod (INDEP FIA) is bugged with regards to the offroad vehicles. It creates a "no entry bin\config\cfgvehicles" error.
