Description
A.S.M. (Aegis Systems Military) is a mostly space based organisation, however, the need for in planet operations is still required and this gap had to be filled. The Triton Class Heavy Lander was commissioned to provide shore-to-shore lift capacity for the A.S.M., specifically adapted to carry up to 8 Terremoto MBT V2 tanks and 8 Cerberus MK2 gunships within it's hull (with extra space for two more aircraft inside the hangar and numerous exterior docking points) and with the ability to act as a resuply point for its aircraft. Always seen with heavy escort both in space and in atmosphere, the Triton fills a crucial role in the A.S.M.


IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: DO NOT PRESS "P". If you do, you will disconnect the tanks and flying the ship will result in the loose vehicles destroying the ship.
IMPORTANT SPACE ENGINEERS SAFETY NOTE: Currently using any thrusters near any blocks causes damage to those blocks. Please turn Thruster Damage OFF in world settings. - Should be fixed now.


Carrying Capacity and Resupply:
===================
- There are 15 connectors within the main hangar, all floor mounted. 8x ASM Cerberus MK2 Gunships can comfortably be stowed during flight. There is space at the aft of the hangar to store additional small craft.
- While the well deck has 23 Connectors, they are setup in a 9-5-9 layout. This allow for 8 Terremoto MBT V2 Tanks to be stored in well deck, but is laid out for flexibility with future vehicles.
- The hangar has landing pads extending to either side providing 5x Port and 5x Starboard landing pads for rapid resupply.
- The upper rear landing pad is intended for use by transport craft, with connection points for 2x small drones.
- Resupply of the Triton Class can be achieved via either of the fore air locks or an aft ventral connector on a piston.
- Try to ensure maximum takeoff weight when to space of below 8,000,000 kg. When operating within a planet's atmosphere the craft can carry a slightly higher payload.
- Acceleration is initially slow.
- The Triton Class is not designed for front line operations and thus has limited defenses.

Layout
===================
-Entering from the fore air lock we have the docking passage. This leads up to access to the forward cockpit for docking manoeuvres as well as the Dorsal docking air lock.
-The docking passage leads directly into the main hangar.
-Aft of the main hangar is the connecting passages with Port and Starboard vertical access to the Well Deck for ground vehicle storage.
-The Connecting passage leads to the crew area, which has vertical access to the bridge and operations alcove.
-Aft of the bridge is an air lock leading to the upper rear landing pad.


Flight notes:
===================
- FROM SPACE: Rapid deployment can be achieved by descending and enabling the parachutes to auto deploy at ~500m. NOTE: that when moving at 100m/s the ship can drop around 200m before the parachutes have fully deployed! This method allows for maximum conservation of hydrogen fuel.
- FROM PLANET SURFACE: There is sufficient Hydrogen fuel to reach space, using this method... First set Up thrusters to override until the ship is moving at maximum speed, once at maximum speed, reduce the override to minimal, this conserves fuel to reach orbit. It is possible to reach orbit using the thrusters at maximum override, though it leaves almost no hydrogen left in the tanks.
Note: both the above notes are based on not carrying any ice.


Note for loading/unloading gunships:
===================
- Load front vehicles first.
- Unload rear vehicles first.


How to load ground vehicles:
===================
- You will need to switch to camera view.
- Proceed up the ramp, lower wheel suspension as you go.
- Once at the top of the ramp, carefully drive forward.
- Ensure you are aligned correctly. When you pass over the pair of connectors, turn the Ventral Connector On.
- Lock Connector.
- Enable Hand break
- Disable Dampeners.
- Enable the Safety Lock on the wheels.
- Exit vehicle.


How to unload ground vehicles:
===================
1- Ensure you have landed and have locked your landing gear. Ideally land on a lake or other flat terrain.
2- Unlock the rotors.
3- Deploy the landing ramps (reverse the rotors).
4- Lock the rotors!
5- Open Well Deck Airtight Hangar Doors.
6- Enter tanks from the top access hatch.
7- Unlock Ventral Connector.
8- Enable Dampeners.
9- Disable the safety lock on the Wheels.
10- Turn Ventral Connector Off.
11- Release Hand break.
12- Carefully drive tank forward towards the ramp (start with tanks at the front).
13- Slowly proceed down the ramp, raise the suspension before touching the ground.
14- Move to step 6 for subsequent tanks.
