Vagrants Expanded

Description
NOTICE: Given I've been completely inactive for years this may be obvious, but I am completely done with Kenshi modding. All of my mods are up for grabs to improve or use the assets of if you feel so inclined. I am not an artist or an animator and lack the talent or interest to continue to work on Kenshi projects. My apologies.

This mod expands the Vagrant camps that can be found in the Great Desert. The following features are added by this mod:

Recruitable Peasants: Talk to a peasant to have a chance of recruiting them. It refreshes every 6 in-game hours, so if it doesn't work the first time you can try again later.

Dealers: Dealers can be found in any vagrant encampment. They sell crude weaponry, drugs, alchohol, and whatever meager scraps of food can be scrounged up. If you're a wanderer who's down on their luck and needs a quick fix or a bite to eat, these would be the people to look out for. They also rarely have some basic resources for construction, though never all that much at once. Also, they can do plastic surgery. Just hope the scalpel is clean.

Militiamen: Militiamen are rare vagrants who are a little stronger than normal, and act as the unofficial guards of encampments. They likely won't nearly be enough for serious threats, but if a drifter or some wild animal starts trouble, they'll probably be able to take care of it. They can also heal wounded people, so it might be a smart idea to get on their good side.

Vagrant Cities: While not actual cities, these places are camps of vagrants that are far larger than the normal ones. They don't have anything the smaller encampments don't have, but at the same time there's more stuff in general, and more guards around. If you've gotta lie low somewhere and the cities won't take you, these are probably your best option.

New spawn areas: Vagrant camps and cities can now be found in the Skimsands, Hook, the Unwanted Zone, and the Great Desert.

If you want some really fun recruitables, try this mod: https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2037201436
Warning: You have to be overpowered to recruit the overpowered recruits.
Imagine you are Supergirl and you made a deal with Lex Luthor level of overpowered.

What updates are you looking for? Last time I checked, it still "mostly worked". The merchants in the Vagrant camps/cities worked, only the recruitment system was a bit borked, but might actually be working better now?

someone make an updated version for this

Are the cities set locations or random like camps?

From what I recall, the camps are spawned in the same way as beast nests and bandit camps. You can refresh them by clearing out other types of camps and leaving the area.

There is a fair bit of real estate in which the camps can be found. Check out Skimsands, Hook, and the Unwanted Zone. I've also seen one in Grey Desert.

hmmmm...Can I ask how do the camps refresh?I've searched everywhere in Hook and found nothing...In fact since then I just found one camp in the Great Desert in my two saves.

Dealers should really have a markup on drugs similar to UC cities. They might not have the same amount of cash (as already reflected by their cats) as big city thieves but there's no reason for drugs to sell dirt cheap here.

I've had issues with the recruit dialog working once or twice as intended, then just not working at all. Although I might have had either the Recruit Anyone or a shopping mod installed also, which could have easily caused the problem.

It might be a mod conflict but I'll look into it. I'd say it might be a conflict because other people don't have this problem, but maybe the AI became bugged somehow with the new updates.

I seem to be having an issue where the drifter camps dont function properly. They just stand idly in a group and wont interact. The empire peasant camps work just fine however. Is this a glitch with the mod or perhaps a mod conflict? Thanks
