Description
A horror themed map.

Started as a project to enjoy and play with a friend.

Full campaign version V1 on 31st october 2018 it can be found in the link below:

https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1552568795

This map is an overall limited idea of the theme that this campaign will contain.
It contains an example of the way the story will build.
As it progresses it will start to balance the horror and action more so.

Like most horrors the experience is ususally more effective playing alone or coop,
yet Alien Swarm is often more fun with a team, which is why this map has also been
tweaked (to the best of my ability) to attempt to scale the challenge depending on the
difficulty you choose.
This way singleplayer is still achievable and the map can still be challenging with a team.

-If you are playing alone I do not reccomend playing above Hard difficulty as extra enemies
are implemented.

- Reccomend medium bloom lighting - This is my first map and semi experimental

Feel free to leave any helpful feedback

(This map was created in original alien swarm and does not contain any reactive drop content as of yet. This may change if i decide to continue it)

It's just a map. After customs clearance, I think it's good. It's a bit scary. The lights are very dark, but I don't feel very surprised. I'm finished with unlimited ammunition. I hope the author can produce more horror maps, which is still very good

I played it with some friends, i do not at all understand the reactor puzzle, but other than that I really am enjoying it so far. If you decide to, I would definitely love to see a sequel/continuation of this map. And good job dude, AS is not a game that is easy to make scary, but you definitely have something unique here as far as I am concerned.

@Serious Chicken - I had to rush all the figuring out as i had never made a map before on ASW, I assumed the switches automatically told you the requirement and testing singleplay i had no way of knowing but i did update it to display a message now just like in the inbuilt campaigns. Thank you for your feedback so far.

@Serious Chicken - No you should not have to restart but make sure you got all 3 valve controls and their corrisponding 3 panels before attempting the main reactor switch, also if you are playing with others you must all be near the switch before it will work. If you still cannot get it to work add me and we could try the map together at some point

so if I press something wrong I can't complete puzzle and have to restart?

@Serious chicken - There is a sequence to the panels which the datapad explains to you it's a puzzel it does work, however you were right about the airlock i discovered it yesterday and have fixed it in todays update.

@Asphodelus - When testing the map in the SDK or Singleplayer you are given a Console to better help test the map.
These are the console commands i typed;

firstperson

asw_hide_marine 1

asw_controls 0
