Introduction
Welcome to one of many mods that I've brought to Darkest Dungeon! If you don't know me, I'm Marvin Seo. I've helped balance Darkest Dungeon for Color of Madness' release and strive to create high quality mods that feel as if they belong in the base game. With that in mind, I want to make sure that this disclaimer is clear:

This mod is not an official Red Hook Studios product or product modification, and Red Hook Studios Inc. is not responsible in any way for changes or damages that may result from using the mod. Class Introduction
A defected criminal, the Falconer specializes in disrupting the enemy team and taking advantage of her prey's weaknesses. She fires a steady and reliable volley of arrows while her falcon attacks from the skies to create opportunities for its master to finish her victims. Should she be caught in the front ranks, she is not left helpless. She can perform a hasty retreat to get back into a more favorable position, execute hit and run attacks, or catch her foes by surprise with a flanking attack or improvised stab with an arrow. The Falconer knows that every foe is different, and that she must adapt to triumph over each adversary. She can focus her fire to maim her targets, command her falcon to attack in coordination with her actions, and even hide for a more opportune time to strike. Whatever the threat, the Falconer will always be prepared.

The Falconer does not come to the Hamlet alone. Due to some past ordeal, the Falconer is hunted by members of her former group, known as Talon Brigands. Occasionally, heroes will gain a new negative Quirk called "Marked by the Flock". This Quirk attracts the Talon Brigands, which can randomly appear in any dungeon these heroes go to. Fighting these Brigands in bulk can yield great rewards, but be wary of bringing too many marked heroes, as you'll attract the feared leader of the Talon Brigands...

Falconer Comic
“She did not want a life of comfort. She wanted to be respected, to be powerful, to be infamous.”

Trinkets

Uninstalling/Crashing
You can uninstall this mod safely without any problems, as long as you keep the Shared Assets mod that's required by this mod enabled on your save.

If you're experiencing crashes while using this mod, here are some solutions that may help:
Make sure the Shared Assets mod required by this mod is enabled on your save and at the top of your load order.

Try unsubscribing and resubscribing to both this mod and the Shared Assets mod, to get the most up-to-date version of both.

Darkest Dungeon has a limit to the number of mods it can load on a save, based on the file size of each mod. It's possible that this mod pushed your save past the limit. The only realistic solution is to remove heavier mods until you're save is below the limit.

If you're still experiencing crashes, lemme know in the comments and I'll try my best to help find you a solution!

I love this mod! The Falconer and the Talons feel like great additions to the game that fit perfectly into the setting!
Any way I can convince you to make a mod that replaces the gun-wielding brigands with Talon-style archers and bird masters? Maybe replace Dismas with a falconer? I'm willing to pay.
If at all amenable to this and wanting to discuss, feel free to friend and message me!
Falconer is awesome and you did a great job with this mod! <3

Hello, I made a mod based on Marvin Seo's The Falconer (revamp one) with the purpose of making the gameplay more fun and dynamic, as well as adding some small changes to some mechanics.

I made this mod because The Falconer was (and still is) my favorite hero from Marvin's excellent productions. I leave this suggestion here for those who have already played the original version of Marvin and would like to try something simpler, but equally fun.

Thanks to whoever reads this!

This character is very strong. And absurdly versatile. I thought she was underwhelming until I learned to use her right, put her in the right team (bleed/mark), and piled debuff boosting trinkets on her. Eyethief alone makes her invaluable on a team with the BH and HM, which can make the whole team unhittable and hit like a freight train. She bleeds, crits, dodges, is quick, debuffs, cleaves, buffs, stealths, stress heals, and dances.

Seriously, put next to the original cast, she's one of the more OP heroes, easily. If you think this character is weak just because her basic attack doesn't hit hard in the first round, you need to spend more time with her and understand how powerful support classes can be in this game. Don't play her DPS unless the target is marked and bleeding, she is support until then.

Who decided it was fair for the crow enemies to just be able to keep repopulating their ranks when any of their non crow allies die? that shit is unnecessarily difficult for literally no reason other than to just ruin peoples time. I wasn't prepared for it, first time I saw it and it was literally right before the boss room in the corridor. that ruined my run completely. I had to delete the save because that boss determined whether I got enough money to continue. and selling trinkets wasn't possible since I lost all of my heros and subsequently their trinkets at the hands of fucking multiplying shriveled crows. absolutely fun. absolutely balanced. that shit actually ruined my day.

She has a canon name?

Shes by far the weakest and boring of marvin seos classes. The adapt gimmick is bad for a modded class. Instead of the extra effects being part of the original attacks. She ends up with 6 mediocre abilities instead of 4 strong abilities.
But... she adds alot of new lore friendly monsters with good trinkets

Oh, and also Flank/Gouge cant be used on pos 4, but her backward skill moves her back 2 spots, but then why you would push yourself into a position where you can't use your main damage skill? It's laughly bad.
vonhattam1990 23 Feb @ 10:53pm
Adapt animation is just a blank pose. Which is even more annoying than expected since the idea is you would adapt frequently, so you actually have to go through so many animations, its tiresome.
The hawk flapping constantly during fight is very distracting. Should be more idle.
vonhattam1990 23 Feb @ 10:48pm
This class really need a rework. Her stealth-dashing playstyle is just too awkward to setup.
Flank/Gouge is laughly bad, it needs setup and only hit the front, can't even target stealth enemies with it, which are usually squishy, high value enemies.
Give Flurry a guaranteed debuff chance like the Houndmaster so she can at least function as a disruptor.

Atm she basically use the first 2 moves 95% of the time with the occasional spirited cry. At least make Stalk gives her a bigger dmg buff to compensate spending the opening turn with it. Now she's just an Arbalest with better mark, waiting to shot marked, if there isn't one then she will mark, it's boring.

So now i can use a hawk too huh.
