Early Access Review
Before I start, I played since Alpha 16 and tried Alpha 14 and 15 as well (opt-in) and I think 7 days to die doesn't deserve this much of negative reviews regarding Alpha 17 that's why I want to give my opinion about it.

The thing is, a lot of people complain about either the game lacking a lot of optimization, and the new leveling system. The things mentioned in such reviews do make a point and are understandable but the thing is that the game is still great. I think they are used to be able to do anything they want before but Alpha 17 kind of forced us to kill zombies for us to do anything we actually want to do.

This change is not really that bad and I think its just that a lot of players cannot adapt to this change yet, then just kind of gave up on the game, then some probably just wanted to leave a negative review just because they did not enjoyed it like it was before, and all of this actually makes sense.

Now, this doesn't mean that the game doesn't have any potential anymore, and in my opinion, the update just kind of gave me a little bit more challenge compared to Alpha 16, and now I've kind of enjoy it a little bit more. Unlike the earlier build of the game where EVERYONE can enjoy the game whether you're a noob or a veteran, this game now takes a little bit more "skill" for someone to actually enjoy it, and this varies from person to person.

So if you truly want to see if this game is for you or not, it would be better to watch playthroughs online (Youtube, Twitch, etc.) rather than reading the reviews. Hopefully, I was able to convince you to give it a chance and trust me, this game still got a lot of potential, just optimize it A LOT I guess, then the game is almost a perfect zombie game for me.
