Now that SONY withdrew from the mandatory PSN plan the game is almost perfect. It brings breathtaking experiences worthy of a feature action film in almost every match. Progression, monetization and contact with the community are the things that others should aspire to do just like HD2 because it's done SO GOOD. Since "warbonds" that are used to unlock new weapons and armor are non-expiring there is no FOMO imposed on the player. Moreover every currency can be obtained by just playing the game (and in sufficient quantity). The game lets you choose from multitude of different weapons, armors and stratagems (which are: support weapons, orbital artillery, fortifications, air support, etc.) which makes the game fresh and fun every time you boot it up. Thanks to its "eternal" friendly fire the game can be as funny as it can be serious (especially when you're playing in a full squad with friends). The game feels interactive and evokes a sense of community as a result of your influence on the environment which is the "liberation" of planets in "THE GREAT GALACTIC WAR". Altough a single player contributes a fraction of a percent to liberation, there are hundreds of thousands of such people! This system encourages teamwork which is seen on a daily basis and makes you feel like you're a part of something way bigger than yourself (your actions actually alter the front line and which planets you are able to fight on). One more thing worth noting is the comedy and satire spread throughout the game. It is obvious that some inspiration was taken from Starship Troopers (the moments in which your character screams at the top of his lungs because you're doing a bug BBQ with a flamethrower or begs liberty to save him in danger are priceless). The only flaw I could pick on is the game not being fully accessible on steam in PSN-free countries, which was caused by removing it during the PSN account controversy (it was accessible before). I wholeheartedly hope that it will be resolved ASAP.
