War Thunder used to be quite a fun game. Early tanks and mid tier tanks provide a lot of good combat for both arcade and realistic players. Had an absolute blast playing this game through my first years and it continued to stay in my library.

Recently the game has felt more and more pay to win, with the 'fun' of playing being taken away as even a round with one or two kills can set you in negative currency. Along with this, I was a casual player and only made it up to rank VI in a singular tech tree. Unless you have all the time in the world, there is no reason to start playing as past a certain point there is little to no progression without paying to speed up.

Custom battles can be fun for hide and seek or games with friends, which was the only surviving reason that kept the game installed on my computer for a while, but you would still need to grind in order to have a variety of vehicles to play as in the custom servers.
