shows potential - although i don't see why its called a deck when it just sesm to be regualr rpg moves.
had me thinking this was a card collector game for a second.

looks good, feels good and is a neat intro to a bigger game.

not a fan of pressing ENTER to " use " the door to the next screen, like.. ever. it feels jank as hell.

its fun.

and why does this open-worl racing game require a USER ACCOUNT AND LOGIN?

edit - the devs dont seem to exist here, and playsim coulsd literally care less, so buy at your own risk!
the tutorial is badly manhandled into transliteration, controlelr support is VERY iffy, and there's no way to fullscreen or control your window size that i can see?

Interesting premise, and characters convey emotion well enough through dialogue.

Controls are a bit clunky, it wasn't as bad in Anodyne 2 - the overworld there being largely fluff and aesthetics - but in this game, legitimate platforming occurs, and the run button works like it does in Anodyne 2- you hold rt and you auto accelerate, kinda liek how you steer cars in games. This means oyu ojnly need to steer left or right to correct your path.

your instinct is to hold the camera to pan and rotate with your moving the L stick in concert, but here, that will only mess you up as the game forces and auto-corrects the view, making it feel terrible to control until you learn RT isnt a RUN button you use in combination with walking, it's just ANOTHER MECHANIC by itself.


Other than that it feels fine, the platforming is a bit clunky, but it's not life or death, and the puzzle game for ONYX linking is as slow or fast paced as you want. Its easy to understand, and while not feeling terribly important ( I mean, you could just interact with the plants and animals ) it's a thing in the game, so it's not bad. I just don't really see why it's needed in the first place.

If the game let me save and quit int he middle of a link, i wouldn't bring it up - but the game abjectly denied my quitting the game and saving whilst in an ONYX link. I do not find this is a good approach, and you can't seemingly just leave a link in progress, and THEN save and quit - looks liek you gotta finish the link first. Maybe im wrong on that, im sure the devs will correct me


TLDR - if you want a mario platformer, or an action beat em up then you are going to be upset.
I didnt see any Anodyne - style 2d dungeons, either.

if you want an aesthetically pleasing pokemon snap-and-chill game with well written stories and dialogue, then you will find a nice experience here.

that's my entire experience in this game. I was always an NPC player, and the moment the round starts, im dead.
tried not moving, tried moving, tried evertythign, I'm just dead ASAP and really unfun.
sounds liek possibly cheating? there's no anticheat here.
play free version, play with friends - dont waste money on this

predatory dlc, bad pc port as usual, and this game just aint as fun as the first ix.


STOP SUPPORTING INTI ON PC. THEY CLEARLY HATE US.
