Hi dude, I just wanted to ask whether the solution with Cathedral bug worked or not. Having the exact same problem, running out of ideas. Please respond.

I wanted to post this in your thread for Doom3: http://steamproxy.com/app/9050/discussions/0/1496741765139269842/ but steam didn't allow me to do so I comment here.

For me as a Linux gamer it runs without any problems using the continued version of the open-sourced game engine called dhewm3. I could download it from the Debian repos. Of course you'll need the game files but you can download them after purchase via steamcmd (also in Debian repos) as the steam client doesn't allow you to download a game not available for your platform. It doesn't have the problems with setting resolution etc. I just configured it in the options without having to edit the cfg file.

You didn't specify your OS and I can only share my experience with Linux but dhewm3 is also available for Windows so it might also solve the problem with resolution etc on Windows.

Can't comment on your thread but don't listen to the people on them. 800w is fine if you want to upgrade to potentially more power hungry things in the future but you should be fine with a little less. Best way to check is to put the parts on pcpartpicker fora rough estimate. Then get a psu with about 100w more than what it says as it's only an estimate. Finally, don't cheap out on a psu. I noticed how premium those parts were that you werre getting and it would be horrible to see them go to waste from a cheap psu exploding. Just becuase it's a good brand, doesn't mean all of its psus will be good. I'd recommend using this for reference. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/
Modularity of the psu is mainly just aesthetics, I'd gladly help you on choosing things to make it look good like cables sleeves or extensions. DM me if you want any more advice <3

Thanks for telling me, I think I'll go with the EVGA.
