I started out like you, a doubting Thomas, until I found myself groveling at the feet of the Lord of the Dice in order to finally get that double Platinum achievement. The amount of hours I spent in this game is a testament to how badly I was punished for my transgressions. I could have used that time to make something better of myself: learn a new skill, start a business, find a girlfriend, but No. I was in RNG purgatory for 3 years.

So my word of advice, don't be like me. Be better.

WHAT??? I'M NOT CRYING!!!! YOU'RE CRYING!!!!

I bought this game after seeing Sean Bean in the trailer, hoping to see him die in the first chapter like he always does. While that didn't happen, I am still happy with my decision. This game has overwhelming positive reviews for a reason. It has the music of Game of Thrones, the gameplay of Last of Us, beautiful ultra-realistic graphics, and a gripping story of survival that will make you cry. Just ask my GPU, it has been crying throughout the entire 19 hours that I played the game.

So pick up your wallets and give them to Gabe. Support the developers of this critically acclaimed game. You want a masterpiece? That's how you get a masterpiece.

I actually liked the handler and her quirkiness even though many people think she is annoying. I can't wait to force her to wear this on MHW Iceborne. Then she'll come crawling to me, begging for my hugs to keep her warm!
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm so lonely

I accidentally came upon this game while looking for games where I could use the PS4 controller I just bought. Never heard of anything about it prior. I just looked at the pictures and video trailers, read some reviews and downloaded the game.

To this date, I still can't figure out why this game isn't up there along with the triple A titles and the legends. I never thought that a small time indie game developer can produce a game of this superb quality. The smooth and simple controls, the eye candy visuals, the tearjerker story, and most of all, the music! Man oh man! That in-game orchestral music just soothes your mind after a grueling day at work. I really wish I knew about this game before. I look forward to the sequel they're developing.

My only gripe about this game is that it's too short. You can literally finish the entire game in one sitting. I stayed to get the 100% map completion but that only lasted a couple more minutes, like how most people last ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Pros:
- Looks great! The graphics and animations are just stunning to say the least
- Music! Oh man, the music just gives you an eargasm
- A lot of ways to do combat
- Many new features like crafting and upgrading
- Alternate endings
- Extremely easy to learn but the monsters will become extremely difficult at some point in time as you progress
- The RNG will not make you pull your hair out of frustration like some other games I know
- The female protagonist has great assets ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Cons:
- Requires a game controller. Trust me, I can't play it on a keyboard and mouse.
- Can't play smoothly on my potato laptop. Although I can still run it, it wouldn't be what you can call playable. I now play it on my gaming rig.

I ignored this game at first when it came out on Steam because I didn't know much about it. All I knew back then was that it was a side scrolling platform game that copied many ideas from the Castlevania I knew from my childhood. I wasn't very much interested in those kinds of games right now because I preferred Triple A titles that pushed my gaming rig to its limits. I felt that I invested a lot on this gaming rig so I should make full use of it and play those games that I couldn't play before because potato.

It was only when I learned that it would be the "spiritual successor" to my beloved Castlevania: Symphony of the Night that I took some time to look at the trailers and stuff. Eventually, I decided to play it and right off the bat, I sensed that something was wrong. I learned that I couldn't play it smoothly without a controller. Those combos like Down, Down-Right, Right, Attack are easy to do with an analog stick. I couldn't consistently do it on a keyboard (I know, I know. Me Noob. I know). So I decided to buy a $43 PS4 Dualshock controller. Imagine that, I paid thrice what I paid for the game just to be able to play it. It was worth it anyway. Now, I can play all the other games I struggled to play before when I didn't have a controller.

Right now, almost 70 hours in and I'm almost at lvl 100 and have completed all the achievements. It was really fun. I didn't expect to be playing that long for a game like this. There's just so many things to do here.

TL:DR Just buy the game, you wont regret it.
