This WAS the greatest ciy building game, and some months ago I never even thought I'd write a review like this for it.
I played with heaps of mods and assets from the workshop and always enjoyed it.
But now, basically since the parklife update nothing works anymore.
Somehow the game now consumes more RAM, so I can use less mods, it freezes everytime it autosaves, in free form mode the road nodes don't connect, etc.
Before anybody tells me, get a better PC if you want to play with more mods, I'd like to tell you, that I once played the game with waaay more custom content than it's possible now

The game is good for people who want a city building game better than Sim City, but that's about it. People who want more than the base game are the ones fooled here. Sure, certain popular Skylines Youtubers with their ultra PCs can still play like they want, but for the rest it's getting critical, as there are frequent updates, which is good theoretically, but these updates are making the game slower with each one.
Also these updates always come out, when a new DLC is published, and well, the DLCs are overpriced, that's sure. I know games where developers are putting similar amounts of content in free updates.

I can only hope that someday the developers will bring out an update which will optimize the game, but till then the game with by far the most playing hours in my library will get kicked out of the favorites section.
Bye
