Combat is decent, companion romance is so surface level it’s disappointing. By the 40 hour mark I was just so over the game that I was just wanting to focus on the conclusion of the Solas arc.

As a long time fan of the series, I’m just gonna pretend that this game isn’t cannon to the Dragon Age series, might as well seeing they did everything they could to write themselves out of the lore anyway. I’d recommend DA2 over this game, despite the combat and reusable maps at least they locked in on the story and characters writing.

Play origins, play Dragon Age 2, play inquisition, play Baldurs Gate 3 but don’t waste your time on this.

There's a lot of really triggering elements in this game but if that kind of thing doesn't bother you, I most definitely recommend playing it. The story will take you on a wild WILD ride.
