Best anime fighting game in ages, and a great fighting game in general. Love to see a new and great rendition of the tenkaichi games that I grew up on. So far before any major bug fixes a solid 8.5/10 for me.

I am sure some of the love I have for this game is out of pure nostalgia however I do think with some bug fixes the fighting aspect of this game would be perfect. Besides lag, camera not being locked at all times and a few bugs the combat feels extremely smooth and well thought-out.
The camera locking stuff in this game can really suck in all honesty it ruins the flow of the match and can really ♥♥♥♥ either player over. I hate it when I lose because of things i have no control over so the camera system messing me up more times than I can count really does bug me especially as its an intentional feature.

This might be a hot take but I really do like the ki management system, and I like the DP system for team building too. There are a few characters that I think need DP adjustments (Z full power broly for example, why is he 9 DP and not 10, and maybe SSJ4 Gogeta needs to go up in value too) otherwise I think that the characters feel quite balanced for their DP values.

I do kinda hate how a lot of the story mode is just slideshows (like atp just put clips of the anime in, they literally own the ip) but you really see where so much of the effort comes in with the "what if" scenarios.
I also love how much customization there is already within the game, yardrat goku and black tank-top trunks is just peak.
