So much controversy surrounds this game. The one thing I can recommend to anyone who is willing to give it a shot is to install it on an SSD or NVME. It does need a beefy computer to play, and even then I encountered frame drops here and there. Now, I will say that if this game wasn't surrounded by controversy with its botched release and many months of patching, it very well could've been a GOTY contender. The combat takes getting used to, but is incredible when mastered. The story is an excellent continuation from Fallen Order. The world is massive and rich with different content to enjoy. I finished it in just under 60 hours having completed most of the smaller planets at 100% and the largest planet at 98%. It's a massive game and deserves the praise and critique from all who've played. Can't recommend enough to any star wars fan, I hope to see more from Cal and Merrin in the future.

This is by far the best in the franchise. After playing through old favourites like 2 and Brotherhood, this holds up as one of the greatest games from the PS4 and XboxOne era. It's not the most polished as I did encounter a number of minor bugs but, that doesn't take away how amazing this game truly is. I attempted to obtain 100% completion and in the end fell short at 98%. Completing every location in the game proved satisfying and I am happy to have explored every corner The West Indies had to offer. It improves upon everything 3 had an is just a much better game. It's filled with more than enough content and is a joy to play all throughout.

I cannot express how much I enjoyed this game. The fact that it was made by such a small team of people, like supers small, we're talking like 5 people. The mechanics are super tight, everything from movement to combat is so precise and perfect. I'd compare the movement to Mega Man X, the wall jumping and dashing feels similar but still has its uniqueness. The combat is a little difficult at first but you get used it. This whole game is really difficult at first but once you start getting the mechanics down and understanding the limits of your character, the game takes on a whole new understanding of what you can and can't achieve. As you progress through the world so does your skill and the difficulty. It's not uncommon for this to be compared to dark souls for its difficulty and while I admit the games share some level of similarities, they're not comparable. You can't tell which one is more difficult because they're too different from each other. I concur, this game is absolutely incredible, worth every penny, every hour and every frustrating moment of bosses and difficult platforming. But all that frustration was worth it, because the payoff is the conquering of a world that ever so desperately tries to keep you down.

Here we are, the end of Ezio Auditore. This game did not take me long. Not even 20 hours and I finished every main memory and side memory 100%. It gets a lot of hate because it was disappointing compared to brotherhood which came out the year before. But for me, I love it. Going through these games has been an amazing way to spend the excess time in quarantine. While this one didn't even take me 20 hours to complete I still enjoyed seeing an old friend from my childhood and reliving his final chapter. Ezio is the epitome of the Assassins Creed franchise. While he didn't give birth to it, he certainly built it up for what it is today. When people look back at the franchise and see where it truly started gaining momentum, they will look to his saga. I cant really say much improved from Brotherhood to Revelations. A little more depth in the movement with the addition of the hook blade, the bomb crafting certainly added depth to the different ways you can deal with enemies. I found it hard to get money in the game. Even after I renovated the shops and had an income of over 20k, I found I was not receiving my pay at the every 20 minute mark, some missions reset the timer and I do not know which but, it gets annoying. How else am I supposed to buy all these bloody landmarks. I did have to fix the game manually by editing a file to stop the camera from shaking, which I thought was weird. But overall this game holds up. It may not be bigger or better than Brotherhood in my eyes. But, it will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Ezio, for all the memories you gave me in my youth. Your legacy will live on as the best Ubisoft has to offer.

This is by far my favourite in the franchise. It improves on everything that was good in 2. However that doesn't mean it's not fair to criticism. Some of it's climbing sections in the country are a little bizarre in that you cant really climb up some of them, it does improve on the free running aspect but some of the mountain areas can't really be scaled. I encountered a number of different issues on PC compared to the console release. None were game breaking. The games story is shorter than i remember, it goes by quite quick, so you have to spend time exploring the world and doing the side tasks the game provides to you. I love the story even if it is over reaching at times, but where the game shines is all the side missions and activities that it provides. Building the creed from recruits you find after burning down towers is so much fun. It's like the game wants you to have multiple tasks happening while you're exploring the world. The combat I would say improved upon in the sense that they made it a little more fluent but also easier. Execution streaks are a thing and after the first enemy you kill in combat, you can kill any other enemy around you in one hit. Which can actually be quite fun if you know how to do it right. Rome is a fantastic setting, it has all the landmarks and the historical significance with all the flash and scenery of an Assassins Creed game. The secret armour you get in this one is cool, but it's not as unique as the Altair armour of 2, and doesn't look as great. If you're looking to pick it up on PC and have it on console, I wouldn't spend the money, I for one have it and wanted to play it on PC to see the enhanced resolution and graphics compared to my old 360. And in all fairness it does look quite nice in 4K. But, like i stated before, I encountered a number of new glitches and the odd crash that I would never get on console. If you're looking to experience the best that Assassins Creed has to offer and don't mind the dated mechanics of two previous game generations, then I cant recommend this enough. I enjoyed every minute, reliving the nostalgia and experiencing the story all over again. It will always hold its ground against time and live as the best the series has offered.

It's a classic, need I say more? I'm very nostalgic towards AC2 and I always will be. The world is quite big considering all the maps that it has. This time I was treated to the DLC (sequence 12 and 13) which I didn't get to play back on console. It was good, i'd say sequence 12 was better because it explained the back story of Caterina Sforza a little more. Im going through them in sequence (pun intended) and man did I enjoy every minute of revisiting an old friend. It feels good to play as Ezio again, after just trying to get through Unity, and giving up on Odyssey, it was a good feeling reliving the past and enjoying my nostalgia.

This is probably the most controversial game I have reviewed. Let me start off by saying this game is known infamously to be extremely glitchy and can't be enjoyed due to the copious amount of glitches, and in the few years the game has been out, it still isnt fixed. During my playthrough I encountered a number of gltiches till the very end, none extreme to the point where character models weren't rendered in cut scenes or gameplay. But I encountered a number of movement glitches, sometimes Arno would be unable to attack enemies, I wasn't always in perfect control of my character and would jump awkwardly from platform to platform. There was the very rare occurrence I would get stuck endlessly falling in a building with no way out except to assassinate an enemy, which only happened once. There was also the moment where I could not get a sync point (which is needed to buy skills and progress your character) due to it being out of reach at the top of a building with no way to jump and get it. Parkour when it does work is fantastic. It is quite smooth and enjoyable jumping and running around France. The setting is quite enjoyable too. Revolutionary France is awesome and has so much depth. It felt like a traditional Assassins Creed game, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, assassinating from high ledges, stealthily maneuvering your way through enemies, all the elements of previous games were there, except boat combat but I dont really mind it being gone. It felt nostalgic of the old days where you would renovate shops and collect income, riddles that would give you a new set of special armour, except it was only an outfit and doesn't benefit your character in anyway. The phantom blade which was a new addition is really fun, I enjoyed using it to my advantage. The story is alright, the sequences are so short though, some only being 2 or 3 missions long. At first I hated Arno as a character, it felt like Connor from AC3, lacking in emotional depth and charisma. But he grows on you, still not the best character but certainly not the worst (Bayek). As a whole this game is quite fun, I enjoyed my time playing through it, Syndicate I find to be more enjoyable however. It felt more polished than this and honestly wasn't as glitchy. I understand why they had to reboot the series after the release of Unity and Syndicate. But I enjoyed these much more than Origins and Odyssey which are barely assassins creed games in my opinion. I recommend to buy it on sale however, do not pay full price for a game that is still buggy and sometimes unfair. I do not see myself returning for another playthrough of Unity. One was certainly enough and I do not wish to experience it again. If you are like me and have played all the others except this one, then give it a go and see how it fairs against your own judgement. I for one would much rather go back and play Brotherhood or Black Flag and enjoy the nostalgia those games have. All in all it's not a bad game, I enjoyed it during my 46 hours. One thing I will say is the online function is useless unless you have a friend. No one is online anymore with this game and you might as well enjoy the co-op missions privately. In conclusion I can still recommend Unity if you want to enjoy the traditional AC experience, just be cautious that it may not be altogether, even after the 6 years of it being published.

A sad case of a game being a shell of its former self. I played TERA around 3-4 years ago to which i sunk over 100 hours in, and for a free MMORPG it was pretty damn good. The core gameplay is still there, the combat, the movement, its all there. But since the original publisher went out of business, the game is not what it used to be. One of the advantages that comes with an MMO is playing and exploring the world with your friends, and you can still do that. But the dungeons that TERA has made has a 3 person max party to enter, and when you do it as a team, you dont even complete the main quest. You have to do all the dungeons in the game SOLO to complete the main quest. Doing the main quest with friends is fun, but when you cant enjoy the dungeons with a party of 4 and play the main story line together, whats the point of calling this an MMO. Why would GameForge reduce party sizes for dungeons, why would they make it so if you wanted to do the main quest with friends, you have to do all the dungeons solo in order to progress the quest line. It makes no sense. It's no wonder the game isn't as crowded as it used to be. Bring back the MMO features you took away. I want to play this game with 3 other friends and experience the intense boss fights that the dungeons have. You have all the elements of a great RPG GameForge just forgot the MMO side to it. IF you want to play this game solo, go for it. But, its a lot more fun with friends, and now you cant even do that. Screw you GameForge, you ruined possibly the best free to play MMORPG out there.

Let me start off by saying that I purchased this game with the Season Pass, and without it I don't know if I would've enjoyed it as much as i did. There isn't a lot of side quests that impact the story which drives this game and the reason why is because of the online addition. I personally am not one for online story driven games. So the FULL game is quite nice. The driving is satisfying, I enjoyed pulling smooth drifts around the corners of San Francisco, it's definitely an improvement from the first game, which felt a little clunky. It has a good amount of content variety. The racing is quite fun both for the vehicles and the drone. Off road exploring is quite fun. The world rewards you for taking the time to explore and is a decent size (not too big not too small). It's well thought out and well executed. The parkour was really nice, reminiscent of the good Assassins creed mechanic, which Ubisoft has kind of taken it away with Odyssey. The characters are meaningful and play a roll in the story, they all feel human ironically. You learn to love some and you get to hate some. It is also filled with some nostalgia from the first game with previous characters showing up. In a way it's a near perfect game. It took me three tries to get into it but, once I did it was hooked, for the solid 45 hour play through. I'm curious to see what the Legion will be like if it can live up to Two.

Greatest game that was deemed to be a failure. The driving is smooth as hell, I love driving around popping fast and furious style drifts around insane corners while dodging cars. The combat is simple yet complex. You can many different combinations of moves and fighting tactics. The story is at the very least interesting. At first it seems like just another cop drama, but then you learn to love Wei Shen as a character. His history with the gangs of Hong Kong makes for some compelling atmosphere. Where the game falls short is it free running, its an okay system but it can be rough around the edges, which perfectly describes this game. I love it death, I owned it on my 360 before getting it with the dlc on PC. (The dlc was worth it, but one was better than the other.) This game has its quirks and fair share of odd design choices. But much like the first dark souls, those quirks are kinda what makes the game so compelling and interesting when replaying through it. I wont lie, I understand why it didn't fully exceed expectations when it first came out. But for $5 you get one of the best value games on the steam store. Enjoyed every minute of it.
