Pathologic has ♥♥♥♥ combat that you hate to do, an extremely harsh and unfair enviroment that wants you dead, dialogues that you have to read like 4 times to understand, and it constantly makes you want to throw your PC into the garbage and light it on fire. You hate yourself every second you have to endure this horrid experience and I will surely not boot it up again any time soon.

Pathologic is also the best game I've ever played. It will very, very likely not be for you, but if you get inmersed in the story like I did, you'll find your mind trapped in a vortex of intrigue, not knowing where the narrative will lead you next and wanting to discover it for yourself. Each of the games three character routes are a journey that will thrust you into the Town on the Gorkhon River, a place that'll despise you as much as you'll adore it, to combat a plague that is threatening it's people as much as it'll threaten you. You'll want to beat the game, not because it's fun (because it's not, at least if we're talking about a conventional type of fun), but because it has infected your brain with endless questions that need answers. I cannot stress this enough, but even after beating all 3 routes and getting all achievements over half a year ago I don't go a week without thinking about it's story, it's characters and how it's all made me feel.
